So, the Toolbox has been released. I'm sure some of you have already downloaded it and are enjoying working with it. Once more I have to post something about the Toolbox. This time it's not some pre-release stuff, but a call for advice. Yesterday I was approached by someone from StrategyInformer.com asking if they could host the Toolbox. Here's the mail:
Hello, I was wondering if we could host your mod over at Strategy Informer: Feeding your games addiction It looks like an awesome mod and we would be honored to host it.

Now, I'm not sure what to make of this. Of course, it's great that people like my stuff. On the other side, A2files (and the forums) are a very special place... I don't know about that website. Has anyone of you been there yet? And what would you do?
Generally speaking its ideal to keep things in the "family" so to speak, but at the same time this could open up a new avenue in interest in Armada 2, and give you a nice bit of advertising. Besides which, I've known from personal experience that modders and gamers alike don't always know of a particular site, even if its a well known under normal circumstances.
I would advise you though, if you agree to this (which makes a change that someone actually asked instead of just downloading it any reuploading without telling you), just keep an eye on things. You never know. There may be gamers out there who could provide you with further ideas.
Mm. Just looked at the site.
Major, did they ask you if they could host BI2? Just wondering why they are hosting that instead of your newer releases like BI:VR. That, and I know they didn't ask me about The Upgrade Project release they have on there.
Odd-- it looks like they forgot about, then quickly and recently re-discovered, the existence of Armada II. It might be prudent for anyone who has content recently posted on there (Ash, Jet, OmegaModGod, R5D5) to double-check if the content has been posted with their approval. That way we know in case this comes up in future.
Quite possibly Freyr but it was such a long time ago its possible they didn't.

Well, their forum was actually our new and (almost)permanent home back in early April until the original FF owners saved this place from the grave so, yeah most of us filefront regulars still are or were over there at one point in time. Though pretty much everyone came back. Its a decent place but, I would keep the toolbox here.
