Hello guys/girls Alright I'll make this short and quick. People, a bit of noise is happening in the Mod Development area of Legacy Files. there are two links below which are proof of Armada Models being compatible with Legacy.

http://legacy.filefront.com/file/Dominion_Battleship;74250 http://legacy.filefront.com/news/Mod_Conversion_Success;31090 It is now proven that SOD files and Targa Files are compatible with Legacy. I know many have said it that both games are similiar in structure and maybe this could be done before such as guys like ChessMess, AdmiralHocking, Freyr and myself.. but now we have proof. What I am really intrigued by is "can we port Legacy models back to Armada2?" If so then this is very good news for Armada Community :D maybe I am a bit too optimistic but If I am totally wrong then I'll admit it..

The thing that one will have to keep an eye on when transferring from Legacy to Armada is the poly counts. It is my understanding that the poly count on Legacy's files are quite high.

Ok... so... now who's gonna solve the white square where the ship schematic should be... and actually get the schematic where it should be...

I have heard a few comments, many people have said that the Legacy models arent as high as people thought they would be.

Actually, polly counts are sort of relative.

If you had the same number of ships in A2 as you do in legacy then it wouldn't be a problem.

Im actually beginning not liking this idea. It all comes down to the fact of copyright issues.

Alot of people may convert the models and pull them off as there own.

If that is proven that no permission was given for the conversion then the mod will be removed and that person issued a ban. No exceptions. I think Joel would agree with that...

Yes, but the mod may be submitted to somewhere else other than Legacy Files.
