well gavin to be perfectly honest, If it's on another site it's out of our hands.. But that is and always has been the pitfalls off modding... people stealing.. Anyway the Legacy community is not that large in terms of sites, and we are affiliated with most of them or are indirectly linked to them so we can see whats going on in the community.
You know, your right, you have put me at ease. :)
If its on another site all we need to do is report a copyright violation to the staff on that site and the file will be gone VERY quickly.
Its not really something to be worried about.
I missed the most obvious answers to that. Thanks Freyr :lookaround:

There's stealing, and then there's improving on ideas. For instance, I put up a tutorial on how to mod a ship for cloak. What happened? Someone put out an intrepid class ship mod with the exact same filename that I specified for it. Legally... unless someone strictly says that they don't want their idea used for other purposes without their permission, as long as you give credit to the person who made the original mod that you modified... there's nothing that can be done legally. We don't have to pay for copyright, we all have our personal rights for that protected by the constitution or whatnot.
All I'm saying is as long as the person who made the original mod says otherwise, whoever improves on the idea and gives credit to them can't be penalized.
This is some good stuff. I think I'll be wanting to get my hands on the Legacy Klingon ships (TNG-era) and Romulan ships (TNG-era) for Zero Hour :p - If anyone has them avaliable, feel free to send them along ;)
Nope, sorry but yet again i am feeling very uneasy about this news.
Can someone please wire over the Saber-class from A2 to Legacy? I can't believe those people didn't include that beauty. We all need to get the basics of Star Trek RTS back into this new one. :)
After playing Legacy I prefer Armada II by leaps and bounds. I really do not know what the fuss is about. It's just because the models look posher, like going into Gucci's instead of Mini-Mart up the road. Nice for while but the novelty soon wears off. You need extra memory, extra this - extra that... If some of the ships can be transfered then that's good. A change of ships in the fleet is one thing I like and always liked about Armada II - it's like a new game every week! :)
