For some reason, at the end of each mission, when the summary page comes up, the program shuts down and says: direct x8 faliure. Does anyone know what to do to fix this?

Your best bet is just to install the latest version of direct X.

Personally, I have upgraded the second every new version of DirectX has become available and never suffered any problems with anything including games more graphically intense than A2.

I reloaded it and it still kicks me out. But now it throws me out at the mission loading page. It still says direct3D faliure, please reboot. Plus the game runs very slow now. Does my modding have anything to do with this?

no idea. I wouldn't have thought modding would cause this kind of problem. If it doesn't give this error with other graphical intensive games then I would suggest completely reinstalling the v1.1 patched Armada 2 and try running the game without any kind of modding at all. If all goes well then its definately down to something that was modded into the game. If it does give an error with the standard unmodded (but patched) game then there could be another, non-armada related problem.
