does any one else find it a good strategy to build up a fleet of about 10 or more dreadnaught missles and send them into your opponents base? I do it all the time and i find it rather entertaining the amount of damage that they do.

Me and you are clearly on the same wavelength!! But I have to send about 4 into get a starbase because they just destroy one or two.

I prefer the Romulan Phoenix. At that stage in the game, most players now you have cloaking ability, but, send in a fleet of Talon's beforehand cloaked, and your Phoenix can run amock.

I like to use a small team of Phoenixes. I put them on a certain key (#1, for example.) and then send them into an opponent's base. I set them up next to the targets-2 for the Starbase, 1 for the Shipyard(s), 1 for the Science Station(s), and any extra for any assembled fleets. Then, I tell them all to decloak and attack immediately after. And BOOM!! there goes the base. For Dreadnought Missiles I like to capture an enemy Federation Construction Ship and have it build a Temporal Reasearch Facility, which then freezes the enemy base after I've moved the missiles into position, and then I nail 'em while they're frozen. Works every time. The only problem with those strategies is if an enemy Scout is built or flies by my Phoenixes and sees them. Then they get taken down too fast for me to do anything.

I actually re-worked the ODF for my Dreadnought Missiles slightly. They're supposed to come with the ability to fire some plasma torpedoes, but they don't-normally. Mine can do that, and they can attack planets and small vessels with them. That makes it closer to the Dreadnought Missile seen in the Voyager episode Dreadnought. If anyone wants that ODF, just say so here, and I'll email it to you. Make sure you include your email address though.

I always take about 4 groups of about 3-5 Phoenixs/Dreadnoughts. Position each of the groups around the enemy base in a square. Then, send them all in at once and watch havoc ensue. They can't all be destroyed since they're eaching coming in from a different direction.

8472 needs a superweapon station/ship. I say it should be the Terrasphere 8 Infiltration Training Facility. It should have a weapon that takes over all enemy vessels in a certain radius, allowing you to build a fleet in a matter of seconds.
