Please excuse how harsh and angry i am, but i need to vent some anger.
My mod is finally going well, and all the race are planned out and the ship already selected and ready. (need the right to Star trek mod before race are finish) Most of ship are already added, but i cant seem to blance damn thing out. i Just can never seem to get the correct balance. I mean i want ships to survive a long time, but not to long and right now i can't get that. Ship either F*cking last to long or to short i want mind to be different then regular a2, were ship last long time after their bilt, but not very long time like they do in most mod were they add lot of health because fleet always attack same god dang bloody target. So they hafe to survive long time when vs ship to ship, but short time when a fleet is barring down. So Far all my temps have failed and it driving me insane...
Next thing that annoying me is i have added the Star Gate race and their already to go and their awesome and stuff, but none blood f*cking weapon seems to suit them. I tried fed pulse weapon and it just didn't look right on Ha'tak vessle. I can't seem to find any A2 weapon that suit F*cking gaold. I want keep secret race secret, but their bugging me so much B5 same bloody way, just need right weapon. Breen dominion their fine normal a2 weapon work, but Gao'ld different story. Ok got in idea be back latter.....

In terms of the ship strength's, maybe you're looking at it from the wrong angle: Try chnging the actual weapon odf's, not the ships themselves?

Yes, change the weapons. Its key to make strong weapons for the strong ships and weak ones for the small ships. And make sure you don't give one ship too many strong weapons. And make sure one ship isn't more powerful then all the rest. In Fleet Operations, they changed the damage scale to the single digits which made it way easier to calculate. Try to make an imaginary over all weapons tally that each race must match. This would involve editting shields strength, and hitpoints etc. also. But its worth it in the end when you know your MOD is exactly balanced. Good luck:)

Yes, it's possible. But most modders are working on projects and are very busy with mods of their own. Refer to Westworld'd big book of Modding downloadable on this site; it has a small section for balancing. For weapons in A2 just look at various modding sites. There's some here. But you might want to check a site called rake's weapon textures at http://stgu.com/startrekarmada/weapons/ -Hope it helps:)
