Considering that these don't really fit into either A1 or A2 modding category, I decided to post this here. To put it basically I'm releasing into public limited domain all my unconverted but completed 3d models for other modellers to convert as they wish. Please can all those who wish to use them read the following notice beforehand:

Public limited domain means that users can therefore, reconvert any of my personally released materials to any game format they wish without requesting permission to do so, provided crediting is applied as I have done within my own readme files. Kitbashing, re-editing is limited to the 3d mesh/model files only. Texture edits can be done, but again, in all instances credit MUST be given to the original creators of these works. Any re-released kitbashed models are allowed providing I am informed (permission is not required) BEFORE the materials are re-released.

Now why have I done this considering I've been so overprotective of my work in the past?? Well strictly speaking my reasons are simply that this community is in such a poor state that there really needs to be something done. Besides which, by my doing this it should help other aspiring modellers to understand how I've made the models I do and give them the opportunity to eventually create their own models for the games they mod.

If you can zip them up so they're all in one, maybe we can think about options. I think it would be easier to just get them up on the site as one rather than ploughing through 130 models which is time consuming.

Depends how you look at it Joel. Adding a few at a time isn't so bad. I mean I uploaded all the models prior to adding them to the database. Plus uploading a full zip with all of them would be a total of around 170mb. What if someone only wanted one?? I can't quite see them downloading the whole thing just for one model.

Greathor. 3ds (otherwise known as Autodesk 3ds) is compatible with around 95% of 3d packages.

That's a very good point. Perhaps some sort of supply and demand system: We do one, you send one more in. Eg. it starts off with you sending 5 in. Everytime you see a new one added to the site, you send in a new one? Whatever, I'm open to suggestions.

Add them in order of what race they are or break them up by time period, or both

I've been told it can, however my version of MS3D can't. There is no option for it. [quote=Major A Payne]Depends how you look at it Joel. Adding a few at a time isn't so bad. Just what I was thinking, though to do them in both races and time periods? TOS, TMP, TNG, DS9 (DS9 including VOY through to Nemesis). Then sort them out from a race perspective.

Well the most simple answer is just leave them over on AFC for now. Anyone who wants them will have to register though.
