Yes Picard was thinking of doing just that with the BORG named "HUGH" but the morel code of a starfleet officer was getting bigger then he had expected not to mention the Prime Directive which violating is a death sentence the only crime punishable by death in starfleet and the ships doctor about to have a morel overload not easy being a starfleet officer cant think like a Klingon!

provided are two links to help you! or when you see the BORG! break glass hit alarm and run like hell!

Human . We used to be exactly like them. Flawed, Weak, Organic. But we evolved to include the synthetic. Now we use both to attain perfection your comments are Brave words. I've heard them before, from thousands of species across thousands of worlds, since long before you were created, but now, they are all BORG.! HAHAHAHA

Kirk and Picard violated the Prime Directive a few times, and lived to tell about it. Janeway had the Prime Directive for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and as a snack.

All true but were was janeway the delta quadrant. what lost in space ok it's not like starfleet could respond to what she was doing ! and kirk did face a court martial so he got reduced from Admirial back to capt. hey he's Kirk can't kill off the main character in the middle of the movie except in Generations which was crap anyway and as for Picard can't kill off the main star its like a rule in Hollywood oh that's right this is almost pointless since were talking about a fictional galaxy ? try my links then you will see what i mean the rest is BLA BLA BLA lights camera action! Oh! look i see a blue screen behind you!

Destroying borg ships, especially FC's and TFC's is easy because people have spent years perfecting the art of wiping them out cheaply as they are such a big threat.

My personal favorite way of wiping a FC is just to drop 2 fleets worth of Defiant mines onto the FC, its an cheap instant kill.

Thing about ethics is, you can't just push them aside when they are inconvenient. Janeway had an even greater responsibility to uphold the principles of the Federation in unknown territory, as its only representative.

Let's keep in mind that a Federation captain is supposed to destroy his or her ship, and kill all his or her crew, to keep from breaking the Prime Directive. By that standard, survival is no excuse. Let's not even get into the Omega Directive.

Kirk and Picard broke the law because laws are not meant to be followed blindly, and they didn't break the Prime Directive casually. It was always a big deal. As Salvor Hardin (Isaac Asimov) said, "Never let your sense of morals get in the way of doing what's right." Kirk and Picard broke the law when it was the right thing to do.

Janeway's only excuse is bad writing.

enigma123456789what lost in space ok it's not like starfleet could respond to what she was doing !
That's precisely why she had even more responsibility, not less. Besides, when they do get back, what does Starfleet do? They promote her to admiral. Please. She should be in jail.

enigma123456789and kirk did face a court martial so he got reduced from Admirial back to capt.

You're right. Kirk did have to face consequences for disobeying orders and stealing the Enterprise.
hey he's Kirk can't kill off the main character in the middle of the movie except in Generations which was crap anyway

Agreed. I will never be able to enjoy Generations.

It's not just because they are the main character. In Kirk's case, he saved the entire planet from destruction. Come on.

The fact that it's fiction has nothing to do with it. Letting Kirk or Picard get away with breaking the law with no consequnces would be *bad writing*, fiction or not.

which brings us back to my post on the BORG standard Cube has 100,000 drones, holding beam, cutting beam, shield modulation, ship regeneration up to 70% of the ship being destroyed iam saying there too week in the game and "Q" comment to Picard to be very affraid was correct. and you are right about the writers of star trek they should be made to walk the plank out the Airlock door, they ruined enterprise and now its gone where no one has been before and the former cast of TNG hyjacking the last episode is the cherry on top try my links and you will see what i mean thanks for the input great i like what you wrote fire.

try my links and you will see what i mean, the BORG have thousands of Cubes over 29000 ships in all the cubes have a crew of 100,000 drones each and thats just for starters all cubes can regenerate with up to 70% percent loss of ship the game has made it to easy to destroy them thats all. not to worry my borg fleet will be the real deal, and you will make an excellent Drone.
