i was looking in the game files as i want to start learning to mod when in the misc folder in the main folder i found a file called misn18 and it said "You will lead a small force behind enemy lines to destroy the Furies launch pad. You will only have a limited amount of time to hit your target and then you must return to the dust off site before the moon explodes. MISSION OBJECTIVES - Destroy the Fury launch pad." whats this about does anyone no?
I dunno, maybe a easter egg.
Well, if you get the moon to explode, I'd like to know. It could be a significant find. (which I've long suspected, why else do planets have health?)
This is intresting... an Armada II easter egg...
The only Easter Eggs i know of are both in Armada I, the USS Roddenberry and the Developer video, but i knew of non in A2 so... intresting. Are you sure it isnt from a mod?
*checks for it himself*
Hmm, Strange You know, theres probably a bunch out there. We just need to look harder!

ok... excuse me for not knowing... but "easter egg" and there are some in armada I.... where? and what are they?
Well for anyone who dosent know what an easter egg is, its a hidden message or thing put into a program, book or tv show, or in this case a game, that your not supposed to know about. There usualy hidden messages from creators or symbolic meanings. Gene Roddenberry and UPS Eggs If you build enough construction ships you will eventually get the USS Roddenberry (named after the creator of Star Trek). If you build enough dilithium miners you will get the UPS Deliverance (after the parcel carrier). Developer Video 1. Open up RAD video tools and browse to the Armada CD (all the Armada videos are in a format called 'Bink', RAD video tools is a 'Bink' player and is only 1.2mb to download) 2. goto setup > data > animations 3. once there open a file called "gowron.bik" its a short video of one of the games developers talking with worfs voiceover.
The Furies thing is, i'm afraid to say, not an Easter Egg. It's a leftover file from Battlezone, the game the A1 engine is made from. If you look in odf/other, there's an odf for a piece of scrap (which you can salvage in BZ, but not Armada)
Thats equaly as intresting...
