Activision own the rights to the Armada series, as such Bethesda cannot continue with any previous Star Trek titles.

On a side note you shouldn't post the same thing in different places, this isn't even related to Bridge Commander or Legacy.

Actually, it would be related to Bridge Commander, and Legacy. Being that they are all Star Trek Games. Activision have no intention of creating any other Star Trek game. This is as clear as day, and whilst they may own the rights to a game named 'Armada' Bethesda *could* still create a game, based around Armada, with another name. They could quite possibly make a much better game, especially when you consider that Armada II was quite rushed into release by Activision. Lets face it, this new game just isn't what people need. You'd think, by now, that these people would understand what they do and do not need to do.

Hello: Well, as long as this new games comes with the less amount of bugs possible and without the rush of Armada2, then it should be amazing, truly. Count me, I'd like to sign in too.

isn't that what legacy or armada admirals or whats was supposed to be and look at legacy it was rusted out, im not sure that bethesdk have the love to create another trek game, Also as legacy uses the same engine as armada i seen no problem in creating a new armada... If they where to put some effort into it. not just throw somthing out. personaly id like a new BC aswell, heavy modding has kept these games alive. Plus i'll sign :) why not hey can't hurt

Good point. =p

This is true, they could get away with creating a Star Trek RTS just not an Armada series RTS. I wouldn't mind seeing what could come of that.

I don't quite follow you there....?

I wish Bethesda would care about the Games... Legacy was a great disappointment along with the other new ST Games for consoles...

If they want to create a new ST RTS game it wouldnt be as good as any of the Activision era games...

I am afraid you are right there, Legacy was a disappointment, I still pay and mod Armada II compared to my initial plans on moving one of my mods, Parallels over to Legacy. I thought from the beginning that it wasn't going to be all that good, but I gave it the benefit of the doubt. I and some of my close friends in the community have gotten sick and tired of waiting for a good RTS game, so we are in the process of getting our own. Our team head has even got all the game engines. While it is not a Star Trek game, it is a completely new universe but is highly moddable, much more than A2 is.

To Elaborate... Personally, and from experiance, I don't believe that a Trek game can *really* work for the Console. All the commonly known Trek games are for the PC. Bridge Commander, Armada II, Legacy, maybe Starfleet Command (though that community isn't what it used to be). There isn't a single game that I know, that is on a console only, that still has the community around it. Trek games need to be for the PC in my opinion, especially an Armada II based one.

The thing is though that Bethesda were the publishers of these new Star Trek games, not the developers. A lot of people seem to have got that confused. Sure Bethesda rushed Legacy onto the shelves, but they do that with all their titles, it's the developers (Mad Doc) fault that the game was incomplete.

I agree with you completely.
