Hola, I am Ntanel StormBlade, I am both the ambassador for IFT and the COO of Haslage.Net. I say this because Haslage.Net now has a tournament system. We have been running the system for a little over seven months now and after speaking with Freyr, I have approval to discuss it here. I would like to have at least a single tournament for STA2. However, I do not want to create and promote something no one will partake in, so I have questions. 1. Should the tournament be teams or individuals? 2. If teams, how many total may compete (team-on-team)? 2a. If teams, how many individuals per team? 3. If individuals, how many total may compete? 3a. If individuals, one-on-one or free-for-all? 4. What should be the maximum number of teams or individuals that may compete? 5. Single or double elimination? 6. Should it happen in a single day or over a period of time? These questions should start the ball rolling. I need input and am open to individual questions or comments. As of now, there is no prize support, but I am open to offers. Thank you and ciao!

Well trying to form teams when alot of us aren't really known quantities to each other would seem difficult for many of us to get chosen... it'd be like flashbacks to getting picked last for dodgeball all over again.... *shudders*

Yeah, individuals would probably be best. I wouldn't think we are likely to see a huge turnout at first, so that's probably not going to be a problem. Single elimination would probably be easiest.

I'd say go for a single day, much easier that way.

So let us assume one-on-one. Not everyone is able to host a game on their PC. Is there dedicated STA2 servers anywhere still? If so, where?

Actually, anybody can host. The problem is that when your using a router on your network you need to have the ports listed in nethelp.txt forwarded to your PC.

There are no dedicated servers for Armada II.

Ports aside, hosting does come down to a person's computer and its ability to perform well.
