I know most hate team colors but do you perfer certain colors for certain races?

For me:

Federation: White, Red, and sometimes Blue

Klingon: Red, Blue, sometimes Yellow

Borg: Blue, Green, sometimes Yellow

Romulan: Blue, Green, sometimes Yellow

Cardassians: Yellow sometimes Green and Brown

Species8472: Brown, Yellow and sometimes Teal

I left purple off the list as that is my pick(for whoever I am).

I also left other races off the list as they vary too much

anyone else?

I just use white as it's what I am used to and is the default color.

Actually, I prefer team colors for tactical reasons when playing multi. If you stick a scout at the top of the X axis its easy to overlook, and many people notice them on the mini map with moments of them arriving.

However, if you are blue and park it over the top of a dilithium moon, yellow and under a nebula, orange over a planet etc. then you can hide on the mini map.

Yeah, I usually prefer it because it lets me know what I'm up against at a glance.

Feds: white, grey or blue Klingons: red or purple Romulans: green or purple Borg: grey or blue Cardies: yellow or orange 8472: like I'd be bothered Tholians: red or purple Imperials: red or grey Rebels: green or blue Dominion: green or purple Breen: cyan or grey

Occasionally I'll really get myself into it, by changing team colors BEFORE the battle starts, and do an IA 6v2 or 3v3v2 --me as Feds, with Klinks or co-Feds as allies, against whoever I feel like taking down.... but they'll all have the same color (blue/red Feds vs green/cyan/chartreuse/peridot/aquamarine/olive-drab Romulans). ;)

I prefer to give team colors symbolising the team constellation. That means: Me: blue AI ally: green AI enemy: red 2nd AI enemy: purple/yellow ...and so on. I prefer cold colors for allies and warm colors for enemies. I've done it like this for years so I always know instinctively which player is an ally or an enemy.
