Currently, we've got a number of completed projects that have been highlighted (Alliances, Star Ocean Project, Borg Incursion, Dominion Ultimate, Fleet Operations, and Freespace 2), and a couple of incomplete projects that are highlighted (Future Tense, Babylon 5: AoE, Empires and Federation 2, Future Wars, Tactical Assault, and Zero Hour). First up, who actually has the job of keeping these pages updated? I'm fairly certain that AoE and Tactical Assault are dead (when was the last time we heard anything of them)? In addition to that, I have asked on countless occasions that the Zero Hour page be modified. The screenshots shown are old and out of date (new models have since been implemented), the description tells a completely different story, and the files linked to the page are un-necessary. I know for a fact that some of the completed projects I had to create the pages for (because of whatever reason). In addition, I did put together some of the in-progress pages too. This was going back a fair amount of time (when I used to be staff, and that was some time ago). Following that, we've got other projects that haven't even been mentioned. I'm curious to know what is going on... I'd propose that either someone gets the 'mod centre' back to its original function, or that we just have a single page, with all the related projects on there, of which has a project banner, a brief description (a paragraph or two) followed by a link to said website / forum. At least that would be easier to maintain, and edit. I don't mean to sound aggressive or that I am trying to tell you guys how to do your jobs; I'm not, but back when I put that section of the site up, a fair bit of work was put into it. Now it has been reduced to nothing...

Ash, we DID update that section of the site.

A while back there was a database problem of some kind or another that reset everything to eighteen months prior. That was before I had gone through and updated that section of the site. In fact, it was reset to a point in time where you were staff and I wasn't. I was furious. It took me hours to get that section updated and done right --and I believe then it was at your request as well. I didn't mind doing it, even if it took hours. But that was then.

So I haven't updated it again since then simply because I would infinitely prefer to wait until things are done right across FileFront before trying to update much of anything. Yeah, it looks like the site is eternally trapped in 2007 that way, but much of this is far, far beyond my control. Am I upset about it? Absolutely. But I have to trust it'll be sorted out sooner than later.

I'm sorry about how much of a disappointment that represents to the community. It's been bothering me a lot lately that my best intentions for this community are being hampered at every turn by technical problems and issues. I can be as hungry as I want, I'm still going to have to wait until this turkey is fully cooked....

I can only imagine how annoyed you were following the reset of the network sites. I can also understand your wanting to wait until the network has sorted itself out before you attempt it again. I sympathise with you on this matter.

Your understanding is greatly appreciated. Believe me, the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, when it comes to FileFront, has lately been seriously difficult.
