Is there an utility that shows the hardpoints on a ship? I tried Storm 3D, which was suggested to me, but cannot get it to display hardpoints. Is there a secret key sequence that does this? Or is there another program that will display hardpoints?

Yes, Milkshape 3D will display hardpoints. It also allows you to manipulate them in other ways. You can download it here.

No problem, you will also need the Importer and Exporter, note that the importer only work's with stock models. Get them here.

Install the importer and exporter as it says in the readme. When you have done that, start Milkshape then go to File/Import and go down to Star Trek Armada (SOD).

Then find the .sod file that you wish to import and double click it.

Thanx. Most of my experience so far is adding ships. But trying to tweak an ODF I adapted for the the Original (TMP) Steamrunner by Interstellar Machine.....

Right, download MS3D, install it

Then download the plugins pack that Gavin gave you a link to.

Next Extact the pack into the ms3d directory

Then you will be able to import SODs, but only stock SODs, importing other models is impossible with MS3D. Well that is the official stance on the matter.
