Due to the lack of responces lately it has me concerned. So I am asking a simply question. Are you looking forward to Yesteryears and should I bother in continuing to release news updates here? Your responces both in the thread and in the poll will help me decide.

Also remember that you'll have guests who will pay attention but won't be able to reply. In addition, you'll have some members who will stay silent about it all but will still want it.

To be fair though, I also think quite a few people were looking forward to Parallels more...I know for one I was/am. That isn't to say I don't want YY, because I do, I just want Parallels more.

Updates here are a good idea in my opinion. I always tend to catch them here first. Really looking forward to a TMP mod finally:nodding:

Ditto... same here. I don't pay much attention to updates, simply because my time's so constrained. I look forward to a release like this 'cause it's obviously so well done and adds to A2 brilliantly. Also, every time a project is cancelled, I die a little inside... So DON'T let us down! lol

Well, I share your thoughts for Zero Hour also. I voted on the first and fifth options. However, I'll requote what I posted elsewhere:

If you take a look at the bigger projects, say for example, YesterYears and Zero Hour. Those people that are 'fans' of those projects don't seem to be showing themselves. Both YesterYears and Zero Hour (along with other modifications) are hosted on MSFC yet, there are few who make many posts. Even when we make news updates here, or on Armada II Files, few people respond. There are a lot of views, but few responses. This leads me to conclude several things... 1) People are simply waiting for these projects to be released, and don't wish to share their input on them. 2) People really couldn't give a **** about the projects, they just read the news for the sake of reading, and then move on. 3) There are a lot of people who don't have a keyboard, and are unable to type :p I think it does come down though, to the fact that Armada II is an old game, and few people are interested anymore. What A2Files really needs, is some sort of boost. Maybe through a Computer / Game mag or something (maybe something Joel could talk to the FileFront guys about)?

http://forums.filefront.com/3793068-post11.html Regardless of that, I can see the following happening. Interest seems at a minimum, yet, the minute you release the project, you'll get loads of people interested, half of which will be moaning about things that they'd have liked to see better. the thing with this though, is that if they had contributed a little more in the first place, they wouldn't have anything to moan about. Either way, you cannot win. The thing you must do is release the project, as you see fit, and screw those (for use of a less better word) who never showed interest in the first place. Ultimately it is their loss, not yours.

Many on that team can't spare the time to continue work on that mod so it's unknown the future of that. PLus I don't tend to restart work on that mod until Yesteryears is released. Thanks for you vote Joel and your reply, I myself am looking more forward to YY tha Parallels myself. =p

Thanks guys. I don't intend to cancel Yesteryears, too much work has gone into the mod. Parallels is the more likely one to get cancelled. Yeap, they will have no place to complain to me about it. If there is something they don't like after it is released I will tell them they should of supported the project more in it's development stage and submitted ideas then. [quote='[Sonic]uk;3815586']I think I speak for a fair few people, when I say "release it"......

I hope you do, as I have mentioned, I just posted the biggest update since the start of YY. I even made a trailer that took me close to 6 hours to do and got very little feedback which really made me wonder if I should really bother to continue with updates. Syf and I spent hours upon hours to get the Gorn as close to complete as possible model wise to allow everyone to see as much as them as possible. Thanks everyone for their replies, I hope to see some more from others soon to help me decide what to do.

Looking forward to it, and release it. I usually read about it on MSFC, but I don't usually post because I can never really think of anything helpful to say other than "looking good" :uhoh:
