If you dont mind me asking, what was the very first A2 mod that you installed? - Mine was Porty's Ambassador Class.:) She was the very first ship that I succesfully installed and I was so happy to see it ingame, that kickstarted my modding carrer as well.

I think it was probably Admiral's Sovereign, although it was over 18 months ago so I can't be sure lol

Well for Medafusion it was a long long time ago. However Medafusion thinks it may have been Concept Future either that or maybe a Prometheus who knows.

My first mod was BI2, then short time later i uninstalled it. To many bugs and it was unbalanced. It will always have a special place, since it gave me hope for better a2.

Mine was the millenium project, and I still play it. My first manual install was the scimitar:naughty:

It was this one

Defiant Class Replacement, Star Trek: Armada 2 Downloads, Star Trek: Armada 2 TNG, DS9, VOY and Future

I can still recall how surprised I was at how much better this Defiant looked than the stock one.

BI:2 and unlike Dontai I didn't notice any bugs at the time, lol

It got me interested so I looked up tutorials, found the BBOM, 3 and a half years later, here I am.

Dontai has this belief that 'good' mods are 100% bug free, even though the stock game isn't 100% bug free. As for balance, depends how you look at it. If your idea of balance is everything has to be exactly the same, then, I guess it is unbalanced. If you idea of balance is everything is different, but has its own strengths and weaknesses, then, it isn't unbalanced. The first mod I installed for A1 was a small mod that added tractor beams to all ships and a buildable galaxy class and such. I was inspired, and I made my first ODF ships soon after. For Armada 2, the first big mod I installed was Birth of the Federation. I enjoyed it but, the scaling of objects and the choice of vessels wasn't exactly what I wanted. But, thats why we make our own mods :)
