Decebalus;3408033VBS is nothing like ARMA kid.

And no armed forces don't use it like you think IMO. If VBS so so successul, it wouldn't have been sold to the public.

Anyway do you know anything about physics? So I won't bother examplaining to you how helicopters fly in real life.

And since you claim the flying is realistic mind if you explain it?

And do you enjoy flying in armed assault?

P.S. Flying does not mean just staying above the air. You know dogfighting? Shooting ground targets?

Oh, and since your spreading what you "think" your opinion sure don't match others, some who played ofp since 2001. Source: Bis forum. I belive they have more credibility, no offence.

I said MORE realistic than OFP!! And i enjoy flying in all games. Even ArmA thank you! And dont call me kid! I'm 5 years your senior!!! Yoiu aint added one constructive comment on here and all you done is some kind of vendetta against me i think. If you dont like it, dont play it and dont come on here moaning about it. Simple. Got nothing else do in life? Leave the house once in a while KID!!!

Anyway, i've had enough of you, adios ;)

And how exactly is it "more" realistic then ofp?

By the way, I've been here way longer than you, and its not fair for you to say that I dont have nothing constructive, since what do you know?

And I have been here much longer than you have and I say cool it. There is absolutely no need to be arguing over a game like this.

Just calm down. No need to over analyze everything we say. When we say realistic, we are being relative. When compared with the majority of games out there, you can't find many that are overall more realistic. The parts that aren't have plenty of mods that can take care of it.

Well ok, if you still believe in your opinion, then so be it, but the majority don't think that way.

Anyway, glad your enjoying it in its current state. :D

Believe whats my opinion??? I've completly lost what you were actually on about as i switched off. I think on foot they done an excellent job. Little new features like the roll and the new animation is also very nice touches. Nothing like rolling out of cover, taking a few enemies down and rolling back :) As for tanks etc, i aint used them alot truth be told, but when i have i think there pretty well done. The AI is alot better now with actually shooting at targets instead of just constantly scrolling through them haha. And its better than any other tank simulator i've played to be honest. And flying, well, I cant seem to get it down. Everytime i seem to get good at tit it goes on a mental spin out or something. I'm sure bohemia are at fault here as ive heard from no one actually mastering it as of yet either. Time will tell on this one. I love flying as well :( It's definatly no Lock-On whioch is a PROPER flight sim and very good at that.

And as for its present state, It's in a pretty damn good state. Ok, AI as problems with bridges and a few other little minner things here and there. But Remember OFP when it first came out!!! It's nowhere near that state. And bohemia back there products 100%. They have even got a bug reporting page on wikipedia for everyone to use as well. ALl these problems will be fixed by the UK launch so stop your moaning. It's a very complex thing there putting together and they done a damn fine job. Bohemia stand out of the crowd of developers for me as they listen and co-operate with the public. Unlike the likes of EA,Codemasters,Ubisoft etc etc etc.

Obviously some people arnt going like this game, Its diffrent, hard and not to everyones tastes. Instead of moaning about it, How about not playing it and leaving the people that do enjoy, to enjoy it ;)

I had the opportunity to play the game for a while. Well it's not bad. Not as good as I have thought, but not so bad.

In terms of graphics, it's pretty amazing. Very nice. AI is quite good and as expected, the immersion is outstanding. I had not time to try the planes. But after the excitement, some things disapointed me. Some animations are good but not all of them. Like the reload sequence. It is the same for all weapons. The same time to reload all of them. Like in OFP. I hoped to see really the clip comming of and pulling the bolt. Well it's just a detail.

Now the real bad feeling after playing it, I didn't find real innovations from OFP. As if AA was just like OFP with new graphics. Maybe it is true I didn't play too much to see the new improvements. But this is a new game so I am waiting more, much more improvements than just a graphical improvement.

Actually ARMA is basically a stand alone "expansion" of Operation Flashpoint. It uses an enhanced version of the same engine. It's actually considered Operation Flashpoint 1.5, with version 2.0 being worked on which is supposed to be an entirely new game.

Exactly, people tend to forget that. There next one will be amazing, but it will also be 2009/2010 haha
