If repeated insertion of the disc in the disc drive does not joggle it into setup try using Windows Search mode to search the Armada disc. When it displays all files you will see a folder icon that says Setup. Double click to open that and scroll down till you see the Setup icon that looks like a computer and click on that.

Another way is after clicking install, leave it for a while (30 minutes to an hour). I had the same problem for a while (I had tried to remove windows messanger manually and it removed some neccessary files). But after a while it started the install process.

Hi everyone, I'm new to this posting thing so I hope I get this right. Now my problem is with the mod called "Antimatter Spread" made by General. I have installed all the files in the right locations and I checked they were there and I put the command lines in the correct files and I put the command line in 2 ship ODF's (The Galaxy and Galaxy X Class's) but the icon doesn't appear in-game.:furious: If anyone else has downloaded this and got it to work, please tell me exactly where you put the command lines in the files please  Thanks a bunch.

General Bowling- as a given for install or any game running- shut down ALL the stuff running in the background after you boot up. Like Mad says, even messenger.

Black Death- did you for sure add the ship to the yard's build list and in the tech tree files? Even if you didn't add a build button once all files are in SOD, TEXTURES/RGB and ODF/SHIPS the ship will build even if you see no button- just a clear space to click on. If it's not crashing and just not appearing the error lies in the yard build list or you tech files.

What I ment by the post is that I actually went to the messanger file folder in the programs folder and pysicly deleted the files for messanger. But afterwards, the built in compression program and auto run wouldn't work at all. So when I tried to install or reinstall a2, it would do the same thing thats happening to you, so after the install shield box disappeared I left it alone for a while and it eventually began the install process on its own (the cause for the problem on my system may have nothing to do with yours, I'm running XP and tried something that I shouldn't have). And when I mean leave it, I mean leave it. Don't do anything at all, even use the mouse or keyboard.

Twitch, I have taken your advice and I doubled checked every file for the antimatter spread weapon. I found that the " that are next to a weapon file name in a ship ODF were acually ” so I changed that:bows: . The weapon does have a button but no SOD file. So I haven't played the game yet with the changes so I'll do that and get back to you:type: . If the changes don't work, I think I'll need to e-mail General about getting a SOD file for the weapon.:deal: Peace.

Thanks Twitch,

The "antimatter spread" works now, button and all. But now during game play as the feds the game crashes with the usual XP message "This program has to close". Usally I know how to fix this problem which is to uninstall the mod which I had just installed that created the problem, but I don't want to. SO any of you smart people out there know how to overcome this? Thanks
