somehow my activision/star trek armada 2 directory was deleted and now i can't play, install, uninstall or reinstall the game...

i looked through the activision help/support site and e-mailed them, they said to go to run, type regedit and delete the regestry keys there but i tried that and i get an error saying cannot delete star trek armada 2. the error is not spicific.

i use windows xp and that should be all thats relevent right now.

the problem is armada 2 was never designed for xp. so you're running into errors.

that has nothing to do with windows xp. just click start, run, type in G:\Setup\Setup.exe (replace g: with your cd drive letter with the armada 2 cd) click ok and reinstall it, that's it

hmmmm let me tell you about alittle something i love about xp mind u ive been running xp pro for along time and ive had little to no problems running a2 on it but with xp you can do System restore points u might wnt to read up on this before trying it but i believe that it will restore your settings on that day but not delete any of your new work so it might bring back your folder it might not now im not telling you to do this im simpling saying that you might want to read up about it and that it "could" bring back your folder so id read up about it its not like a restore because none of your work inlost but i do think it brings things back i think so read up on it and good luck

i don't think a restore point would be a good solution just because there are several other ways to solve this problem
