I have nice problem with installing custom maps in AVP2, last time I tried sUk-Stronghold map, isn't this what I should do: I download the file, extract it to fox/alien_versus_predator2/ or whatever that folder was, should I just extract files to the mainfolder? Folder named aliensversuspredator2? I've found lot of information about this, I've tried all possible, someone says that I have to extract them to folder named maps or worlds, but I have no such a folder, should I do one, it didnt help. Do I have to download some Frameworks program? For what I need it? Well, no other ways to do it but extract file to the mainfolder, then I open AVP2, click "Options" write -rez nameofthemap.rez to the command line, click "Allways specifie these command line parameters", click "OK" and "PLAY", after this has been done, where should the new map appear? In Custom Levels? In the maplist where you select the maps you want to be played in the server while creating a own server? I've also tried to join a multiplayer server that uses this map, nothing has worked. Thus if someone has the same problem or knows how to solve this please tell me.

Ok, I did not download suk stronghold map because I use Ultimate map pack 2 which has every map. Otherwise it would be frequent downloading of levels and commands which is complicated and take way too much time to just play the game. Now stronghold is designed for overrun mp, so if you downloaded it and it is a .dat make these folders in your Aliens versus Predator 2 folder which is inside your fox folder,. make this maps/worlds/multi/overrun If it is a .rez file just paste the .rez file in Aliens versus Predator 2 folder and type in command line -rez stronghodl.rez whatever the file's name is Now both those ways are old fashioned and take way too much time I reccomend you just get Ultimate map pack 2 and 3 updates you have all the maps in far less time, It is not only downloading time because obivously a single map is smaller then the mappack but it is also install time, who knows how many maps you want and how long it will take to sort them out. It's much easier to get UMP2 Here the links for download UMP2 Ultimate Mappack 2, Aliens vs Predator 2 Downloads, Aliens vs Predator 2 Map Packs update 1 Ultimate Mappack 2 updater, Aliens vs Predator 2 Downloads, Aliens vs Predator 2 Map Packs update 2 Ultimate Mappack 2 updater, Aliens vs Predator 2 Downloads, Aliens vs Predator 2 Map Packs update 3 Ultimate Mappack 2 updater, Aliens vs Predator 2 Downloads, Aliens vs Predator 2 Map Packs avp2maps's Homepage also has the downloads

Yeah thanks for helping, I try to download .dat file if it works better, and I've already downloaded 2 UMPs, and they have work neither, they don't obiviously have a specific installion program, it would help because of the age of the game there's not that much information available, well I'm going to keep on trying, first I tried with one file because I wanted to make atleast one new map work. One other thing, where I could find the original maps of the game? I thinked that shouldn't these new maps also be located there? I cant find any ready folder that contains maps inside fox/aliensversuspredator2/ folder, they aren't all in a own folder or something...

I downloaded one evac map that was available as a .dat file, map named toxic_feud or something... It works, I created folders and wrote -rez maps. to the command line... One thing that I still think, is that why it worked when I wrote -rez, because that map isn't in .rez conformation (or should I say format or form? I'm not sure). Do you know that are those UMPs available in .dat conformation somewhere, I didn't find any place, or do you might know how to change the conformation from .zip file to .dat file?

toxic feud is a good map one mys favoriteas never mind the fact that it isnt a .dat seriously you should just get UMp2 like I said it is much easy/ Download the ump2 from one of the links igave you or wherever else you can find it whatever. It might not work anywhere else... Download it, unzip it. then unrar it with winRAR ( find a free version somewhere..googleee) Now you should have a Folder called UMP2.... take that folder and put it in Aliens versus Predator 2 folder then start game and type -rez UMP2 Yeah don't worry about that it is not un installer and yeah it is lame that it can be rather complicated isntalling these maps. the update are self installer and later versions will be self installers also.

One thing, do you know any good server that uses these maps? Ofcourse it's nice to just look around in game, but would be nice to play with others, too, and if you host a own server, it doens't mean that there joins other players to play with you, especially overrun and evac maps, where you can't even look around, I mean you can only use free-fly-mod, but like in maps like sUk-Stronghold, which I mentioned, would be nice to try what happens when you turn some swich, I've read the manual, and would be nice to turn to practice.
