try reinstalling the game, something may have occured during your last installation cuasing this error, or you cd may be scrached or has a problem with it (meaning you either need to buy a new one or live will multiplayer), OR there is a problem with your computer which can cuase errors in some games (so you may need to update your computer if it is too old), another thing you could try is asking for assistance from Sierra, they could tell you whats rong.

http://avp2.sierra.com/us/support/ go down to either "Technical Support" and phone in or email support@sierra.com and you sould get an email back saying all the regular Q&A and problems with the game, it will also say something like "if these havent helped you then please contact _______________" and so on... your best bet would be to buy a new game though, OR! you can go down the support page and look for a CD replacement, and there ya go!

why would i need a CD replacement?the Mgr(the crap that copies the resources and stuff into the game)is in the AVP2L.REZ file and the autoexec.cfg in the directory, but i checked them, and it was all fine.also i emailed Sierra as soon as you posted their email address and they havent replied yet.

usually big companies dont reply to the older games in some time, it might take weeks
