Lol ok ok colt put up a screenshot I would like to see this . ..yeh it could be vista it could not be, but we could consider a multitude of problems, we just need more information so we know whexactly is going as you know
Seriously, my problem is when I'm an Alien I cant see jack shit by hitting the V key (or vision key; V by default) Basically all I can see is my aliens life guage and thats it. Once I press V I'm a dead man. The same thing happens when I go underwater. The screen just blacks out completely. Obviously I see the HUD but I just can't see anything. My laptops specs are ABSALOUTLY up to scratch and should AND 'do' play the game perfectly in every way apart from the damned Alien, underwater and Pred-Tech Vision. It really is a nightmare. And Windows can't read SIT files apparently. Cuz its MAC specific. There rly isn't any more I can say. My Specs: 1024mb DDRII 667RAM Intel 965GM(Cresline) +ICH8+M with up to 128mb shared memory supports Intel GAMX3100 120gb S-ATA HDD
Get an Nvidia card they work well with avp2, also I find the AMD processors work best with avp2. ATD card -> I've seen many graphic errors with this Intel -> things always ran really slow with htis one. on a labtop ? Why do you even care that much, can't play that well with touchpad...
I use a mouse. touch pads are horrible. My Intel Processor rips through AvP2 with deadly ease, so why do I want a new one? Graphic Card is perfectly up to scratch running the game in HD and at best possible graphics. Including aspect ratio and resolution. I can only see the problem being Vista. Well forget it. I've come to accept the fact that as long as I stay out of water and don't close my eyes and stay out of dark vents I'm still a damn good Alien. Otherwise oh dear.
you could also try experimenting with a few different graphics levels, in the past i've run into trouble with overlays at certain levels. they were custom, but still... you never know.
man i would never play legit on a labtop, i'm not telling you to upgrade. i mean i guess what i said means you should just buy a new computer, why use labtop so much.
dude, i play AvP2 on a laptop, what's the big deal? if you have an external mouse plugged in it works as well as a desktop.
Have you tried UPDATING your graphics card? I had a problem with AVP2 once and I updated my graphics card after that everything was fine. Welcome to NVIDIA - Graphics Cards, Motherboards, Notebooks, Desktop PCs (now the not helpful bit) Alien: "Oooh its dark here" *sleep*
