Is this good? or should i have more free space. I just got this comp a week ago and only have bf1942,dc,Bfv installed with some other small apps like vent, gamespy, wmp, divx.

That is normal. One of the discrepancies is due to hard drive manufacturers counting 1000mb as a gig instead of the correct 1024mb.

It varies, like processors. My processor, when I got it, was a 1.67 Ghz, but it runs at about 1.7 Ghz. I had a 1.2 Ghz processor, it ran at 1.21 Ghz. I have a 80 GB hard drive, and i have 74.75 GB of space usable, when I first got it. You can buy two of the exact same hard drive, and be guaranteed that they will not be exactly 120 GB. Very rarely is it ever exact.

I can't use about 5 of my 120 gigs, too! But I think 19 gigs are a bit too much. Try to get PowerQuest Partition Magic or anything like that so you can see if you can add a part of the 19 to the 101 gigs. But I think 100 or 110 doesn't really matter if you have so much free space!

When i first got my computer 40 GB (yes i know, small, lol) it said it had 39.4x or something around there, and now (about 1 1/2 years later) it has 37.87ish. what the hell is wrong with that?! What do you guys think about external harddrives? Worth it?

External Harddrives are no good. To slow to access files off of it, deffinently not good for PC gamers.
