A lot of people are very disappointed with the chosen path Battlefield developers are taking. I for one am not enthralled with the current progress, news, and outlook on Battle Field: Veitnam.

And now it appears EA, and more specifically Dice, are going to split their forces to make a Console version/Pc version (Modern Combat). They say they are both going to be developed by two different teams but the games are going to be the same.

What I want to know is the part that Trauma Studios is going to take. Unlike a lot of players who are viewing this as a bad thing, I believe it will be great for the Battle Field Franchise. I personally believe Trauma Studios has put out the best mod for a game ever. I respect bg42, FH, EOD and others also. But DC has broken through the BF limitations and written some new ones.

After reading all the plans for BF2, 100+ players, 30 vehicles, destructible landscape, I know it will be a good investment to buy it when it comes out if Trauma is helping develop it.

A much better investment then Vietnam has been, hopefully Tour of Duty will fix the mistakes in Vietnam that Dice has overlooked or seen the need not to fix.

Cambo get real. What do you expect Trauma to do. Have the Iraquis riding camels into combat waving swords.

yeah, if it were realistic there would be no point in choosing iraqi. i like the idea of camels and swords, i think they should put in camels just for humor :)

Ok maybe the Iraqis are a little more advanced than that but Parakleet does make a good point. There is a difference between what LOOKS AND FEELS REAL, and what is ACTUALLY A FACT, who cares if DC has weaponry not actually used in real life, as long as it seems feasible: i.e.: I don't wanna see Iraqis with like Sattelite mounted lasers firing lasers and blowing coalition heads apart.
