Ok, will i need a Mic to play that role? How will the comander be chosen? What would we do if the noob Comander Called arty strikes on his own team? How will squads be organized? Thanks for helping-Falcon.

i think the comander will be chosse on rank, if the ranks r the same, the player can vote

Yes, part of the commanders job to to provide info to the squad leaders so a mike would be essential.

That's what the knifes for!

How will squads be organized?

Anyone can be a squad leader, if ppl then jon your squad you and they get benefits, if no one joins then you are probably one sorry arse squad leader who deserves to be all alone and helpless :p

You don't need a mic for any part of BF2, but life will be so much easier if you have. If only one guy wants to be Commander then they can, multiple people will be based off ranks and the highest becomes Commander. With the Commander TK'ing, there's two options. If FF is one you can punish for TK'ing and the server will auto-kick after a number of punishments. There's also the option to vote out the Commander - a mutiny. The Commander view is top-down. The Commander is actually on the Battlefield and can be killed, so he'll need to move around to safe locations and need protecting while calling in arty etc.

According to the latest info there will only be one commander per side, if no one person has the highest rank for commander one can be voted in or the position left vacant. The Commander will play top down view RTS style locating and marking enemy by use of satellite tracking and smoke, dropping ammo and health to troops, coordinating attacks and artillery barrages etc. It's all in the latest interviews.

Will he get points for helping the troopsd take bases, like how troops get 1 point for killing a person and like 5 for taking a base? Well I do have a mic, I would like to be commander.

4 points. 2 for neutralising and 2 for capture, and anyone who assists in the capture receives 1 point. 2 points for a kill. (1 for each 50HP). Kill assist get's you 1 point. You should find and watch the LRRP video's, there's one all about the point system. If you TK one of your own (who's perfectly healthy) you'll gain -8. -2 point for each 50HP and then -4 for the entire TK itself.

Looks like they've gone to great measures to make this a fairer game points-wise then :) Thing is with points IMO - it makes some people go off Rambo-style, will there be a way to stop this?

Well the entire point of the squad arrangement is to try and stop that. If you are part of a squad you get benefits from being near the squad commander. For instance there are no ammo or health boxes on the maps, so Mr Rambo can't sit near a health or ammo point to get ammo and healing, when he runs out of either he will have to go running after the nearest Squad Leader, who can call in an airdrop of ammo and health from the commander. Also the squad commander acts as a mobile spawn point. If you go wandering off by yourself and not in a squad and get killed you have to respawn maybe far from the action at the main base, so much for running around like Rambo, most of your time will be spent getting back into the action. So basically the advantages of being in a squad should be obvious to the newest noob, or will soon become obvious the 10th or 1th time he respawns at the main base by himself while everybody else spawns in the middle of the action. The ppl in squads will have more opportunity to engage the enemy and get more points than your average Rambo. At least that's how its supposed to work, how it works in practice on public servers will have to wait for the demo to show us.
