There is still a very active 1942 DC community. DC remains one of the most frequently d/l mods in the game. Does that tell you something about what people want?

It tells me that a lot of people want modern gameplay but dont want to buy/play BF2.

Very much so... I've lost all interest in BF series. Lag, idiots, hacks, crappy gameplay... It was fun while it lasted. Even the FH MOD won't get me back. I look forward to Quake Wars now and maybe trying BF2042 or whatever.

yeah. I'm gonna get it from a friend (he never plays it), then I'm gonna mod it so there are more common weapons used (garand, m1 carbine, because not all foot soldiers carried m14's, and m16's). Maybe even make my own Korean mod, Unless anyone knows of one?

You could try the Arsenal Mod which can be found at FileFront. It uses stuff from the WWII mod like the B.A.R., plus modified weapons and new ones like the Garand Sniper and M3 Greasegun. Very nice mod. I did start work on a Korean mod but then I kind of gave up. http://battlefield2.filefront.com/file/Arsenal_Mod;66037x#950266 There's the link if you want to check it out.

Yeah, the ARVN tended to get the short end of the stick when it came to armament. All the old stuff the US didn't want anymore.

Why I am not buying BF2142 is because of Science Fiction theme & the Crappy story. ehhhh I think I'll Leave the Science Fiction, Futuristicness, & Long Deep story and Characterization upto Half-Life 2. Battlefield is not about Long story its different its about Huge Intense Multiplayer Action with lots of vehicles & Wide open maps. Half-Life 2 is about deep story & Characterization, as you asume the Role, step into the boots, & wield the Crowbar of Dr. Gordon Freeman. I really love both of them games, I want them to be different. thats what makes them Special. P.S: It pissed me off when some Told me that Dice(Battlefield)copied off of Valve's "TF2" as in who made the Idea first of Wide open maps, Lots of Vehicles, & lots of players(64). I dont believe this.
