i love sniping in bf2 and moh but all other games ive played its waaaay to easy. i dont really like the having to shoot someone 3 times to kill without headshots but if your smart you follow someone good, wait until he's shot someone but not killed them, then snipe the enemy off :D
Yes, that strategy works pretty well. I do that in Halo, but that's a diff topic. I was playing BF2 as a sniper about a week ago, and I started owning, just randomly, with the SVD. It was really cool, because I hadn't played in a while, and it was a ranked server, so I got a couple medals as well. Still a Private though :(. Not far from ranking up!
Snipes With Artillery
22nd March 2005
My favorite sniping that I have done: I was playing on BF42, on a map with a very old(stone) bridge, and a very new(steel) bridge, I forget it's name. I was an Allied sniper, and I was on the stone bridge. There was a guy in the passenger seat of a kubelwagen on the new bridge (about 500 yards on the map), but he was not doing anything. He was looking around and zooming with his gun, but he was not moving. I went prone, I waited 5 seconds with my crosshair at the tip of his helmet, and POW! It was a GREAT shot, I went t sleep happy that night^.^
What the hell happened to the binoculars! The way DICE made the sniper rifles less powerful enforces spotting of enemy targets...I don't know about you but I can spot alot better with binoculars then the scope of a rifle, the field of view is alot greater with binoculars.
I like using the binos in Americas Army... but thats the only game that I use them in. A spotter would help alot, and also he'd be able to back you up if someone came in close-range.
