SciComHamI recommend you get some lessons in irony and grammar & punctuation.

I was saying that EA probably wouldn't let you burn the pack to CD because they think that it is somehow piracy, even though he's not going to do anything with it besides use ot for personal use.

Hey can you shut up and stop flaming him? Thanks. I would think it would work since its just a file. There might be some anti piracy files in their as well.

Yes you can burn them on to a cd. No prob there. But lets say you want to give that cd to someone that hasn't paid for the packs and they try to install them on there puter, they won't be able to play them, and on top of that there cd key might get banned as well. See the booster packs are connected to your BF2 username that you connect with. When you buy the packs it wants to know what BF2 user account you want to associate with the pack. You do have the option to change the username for the pack if you have more than one account but only on the computer that you bought the pack for in the first place.

It all works as stated, I copied Euro Force and will now do the same with AF.

According to Mr Clean Above, i am assuming that i will need to pay for a second copy of Armored Fury if i was to play my brother over LAN on his comp?

that is correct. you can not install it to more than ONE pc. You are purchasing ONE license aggreement for the software. If you install it to another pc, that is piracy. PERIOD. That is the last comment on Piracy/cheats and so on please.

I have already downloaded & installed AF so while logged into the EA Downloader I only have the option to play. So, what I did was copy the folder using the following pathway to a cd "C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Downloader\Cache\[Your User Name]\eagamesbf2-2006online_map_contentbf2af" My questions... 1. Is this the correct folder to copy for a backup of AF? 2. If I uninstalled and reinstalled BF2 & the latest patches, would just running the .exe file located in this backed up folder reinstall AF to the correct place? 3. If one of my buddies legitimately purchased the booster pak thru EA Games downloader using their profile...could I save them the torment of having to download it (which takes >2hrs) by simply dropping the the backed up folder (eagamesbf2-2006online_map_contentbf2af") into his username profile & running the .exe file? I just want to lend a helping hand to my fellow local gamers if possible w/o screwing anything up or breaking any rules. It's bad enough that some have to download the full 1.3 patch....(>4 hrs of downloading total:uhoh: ...& that's if all goes well!) Thank you all in advance for the insight... Jigg

1)The instructions on what to burn for a back up have already been given. 2) hence the reason of exe files. 3) probably. you could try it and find out. The patch doesn't take four hours to download unless you get it straight from EA in most cases.

Merrick, I just wanted to confirm that I indeed saved the right file since the instructions posted said,

...download it, click "Install" while in the EA Loader screen. After the downloaded file gets done unpacking the 'real' installer will come up. Click cancel

and I didn't do it that way.

The patch doesn't take four hours to download unless you get it straight from EA in most cases.

I was referring to downloading BOTH the 1.3patch and AF. My bad for not being so computer saavy...thanks for the warm welcome:uhoh:
