yeah, bunny hopping is the pinnicle of not being able to shoot. and it pisses me off. and aaa whoever said its in every fps ever is wrong i play 1942 and bfv alot still and i rarly see some1 jump accrost a whole map non stop like i do in bf2. people will often jump if your sniping at them, which is more understandable then continious jumping, but you cant jump 9.8 fagillion feet into the air like in bf2, its how high you can jump in bf2 that makes it so problematic. in karkand or some other map with a b ball rim go up to it and jump, you will see that your neck goes above the rim, which is slightly absolutly ridiculous. in a way bunny hopping is pretty much glitching. when some1 glitch they make it extreemly hard or impossable for some1 ells to kill them yet they can kill you. bunny hopping messes up your hitboxes so even if you get hit when your jumping around it wont hurt you, if your not hit in the exact right spot you dont die, so if you can bunny hop and make it super hard for me to kill you i should be able to hide in a wall with just my head out making it super hard for you to kill me.

the insti prone is pretty stupid too, they need to make it so theres a delay when you go from standing/crouching to laying down, like what they have when you go from laying down to standing. or make your gun go super inaccurate when you get down, then go to its more accurate state. then if people fall to the ground like a crip without the wheelchair and they just start shooting the bullets will go every which way insted of straight.

BUT all this homoness is fixable. its called Project Reality, its a completely kick ass mod where people die when you shoot them and no1 bunny hoppy. once you start playing PR you wont be able to go back to shjty ass reg. bf2. its alot harder then reg bf2 but its 10x better. it doesnt bring with it the frustration of shooting some1 in the face with a .50 cal M2 then having them jump around and shoot you with a rocketlauncher like in reg bf2. www.realitymod.com

I said it's in every game. And you have seen it, you just said you have Rarely seen it, which is still seeing it. Your post also goes on to say it's a glitch. It isn't a glitch. People are not Hopping across the screen. They are Hopping to make themselves harder targets. Please go back and read the posts again. It wasn't about glitching.

sbn;3476028While bunny hopping may be a part of online FPS games, there are things that can be done about it.......

I find placing a series of small pointed metal objects into their heads at about 750 meters per second works.

It really is not that hard (I find). If you aim at (normal) head height and shoot the bunnyhopper will either take it in the head or middle torso. Use single shot firing mode unless at very close range. If you cant hit someone because they are jumping then head back to basic. OH and there is a small bit of time just after they land in which they move slower and cant jump again for another fraction of a second. If you preempt this you can have bullets in the air so that the instant they land they get shredded.

OR use the ZOMG ALTERNATE STRATEGY : Run up to them and place a claymore. BOOM! or even just run away , get a tank and shell the jumping £$%&er

Just to straighten things out, a soldier in real can jump alot, and i'd know this from actually wearing the stuff.

Mainly to avoid fire in real you just book it as fast as you can, dive, ect. And if you have to bunny hop you get free from being shot, try actually using some cover and making yourself as small of a target as you can.

This is easier said than done, and in no way relates to the reality of this game. Sure this would work in something like COD, but BF2 has a serious fundemental flaw in that the game has no sense of physics. By that I mean aiming realism is very lacking in comparison to other games. Everyone has encountered how you can shoot someone point blank and nothing happens, where as you get kills when you are hardly aiming. This more than anything has done it for me regarding this game. Add someone bunny hopping and it is just useless.

Frankly this just all points to what a poor programing job they did with this game, and even more how poorly EA has supported the game they published under their name in providing what should be simple to patch. As I said earlier, they patched COD quite quickly when it became apparent than bunny hopping was disliked. I see no reason why they could not have added a cool-down between jumps. But EA does not give a *$, hell they have already moved on and released 2142.

It will be a cold day in hell before I purchase another game from EA/Dice.
