One great thing from Battlefield 1942 and Vietnam that I miss is calling in artillery strikes with the sniper binoculars. Now I know that the artillery has changed to the commander calling it in himself but I loved calling in artillery in the original. Im sure they took it out because of the lack of people that would participate in spotting/carrying out the artillery strikes. The thing that I was thinking would be nice is just having just one piece of mobile artillery per large map. I do not think that it would change the tide of the game very much but it would be another nice stratigic option. This would make up for the lack of power that the sniper rifles posses in this game (which I think is good because it allows regular infantry to not be pwned in one shot and cuts down on spawn camping). I also miss being able to view for targets through the much larger view of the binoculars. I want to know if other people miss this awesome feature and other people's opinions on the matter.

yeah, I think squad leaders should get the binoc's to help direct actions to the squad via the T key. That would be nice since trying to spot stuff with the sights is a pain

I miss the binocs, I also dislike the fact EA took the m109 paladin out of the game, it would have been a great feature.

pixel shooters? i take it you mean using the arty as a normal tank? if so then im afraid to say that pixel shooting in DC was very hard to get good at, you only had one chance to disable a tank or your screwed i do laugh when i hear that pixel shooters were lame if thats what you mean :uhm: as for Binoculars, by god i miss them and hope they'll be in someday, even if its not to call arty.

Yes even if they do not call artillery I would still be happy. The idea of giving one to the squad leader like in AA is an awesome one. I would still much rather have it being in a kit. I am not really sure what kit but either spec. ops., assualt or the sniper classes would be good.

Great idea...mind you... if you have a sniper as a squad leader...you're half way there...IMO Cheers

Pixel shooters would be there whether there were binocs or not. The binocs provided much more teamwork in using artillery. No, it's a lone commander using the freaking "finger-of-god" BS to target anything he wants with precission. Some like artillery should take much more skill to use then simple "point-n-click"
