Of course it works, runs fine on my X2 4400, although there are issues and you need to make sure you get the AMD Dual Core patch, otherwise you can set affinity for one CPu and it will work fine.

Hmm, that's a hard one, its the AMD Dual Core Patch, so maybe try amd.com.au.

i got intel dual core and my game crashes i read that once i start up the game then bring up taskmanager, goto processes, find bf2.exe, set affinty to cpu 0 and not cpu0 and 1 or it could also be the crappy patch 1.3

NEVER had or will have an Intel cpu... always had an AMD since 1991. No probs with games.

Thinking of getting an AMD Dual Core CPU as the price is falling and being heavily discounted by retailers. Is there some way to do this 'affinity' allocation automatically on a per software basis? Dropping back to windows after starting BF2 sounds a distinct chore and largely unnecessary!
