I was just practicing landing today, and I'm getting the hang of it. But I was thinking - would you guys be happy to have to land to reload if EA made landing easier? (Better speed controls etc.) Or would you be happy to have to land even if the controls stayed the same? Or do you like it as it is? I think if they made it easier to land, I would be fine with having to land for rearming and repairing. But, idiots would run out onto the runway, or drive tanks, so you get the TK. I hate idiots. What do you think?

I'm pretty sure that DICE, not EA are the ones who fix things. EA is the publisher. As far as landing, you don't never really need to unless you need a long repair. Just do fly-by's.

DICE makes the patches and EA releases them. But no i don't think you should have to land because theres all kinds of things that could go wrong. For one, you've got a guy on you're tail and you're flying back to you're base to repair, you have to land and then right as you do he drops his anti tank bombs and poof no more airplane. Theres also people that want you're plane so they'll stand if front of you or even kill you so that when it respawns they can get it. Its just not a very good idea, in theory it works fine but not in game.

Yes. Besides, who would want to land on the tiny Airfields DICE made? :Puzzled: I prefer to just fly-by, or I just use my MG, quite effective if you turn your speed down to 75% or less.

Do fly-bys with the lowest speed you can stay in the air with. slower speed = more repairs.

Me. Very easy to land, its just defending yourself once your down and making room to get back up is hard.

 It's more effective to go to less than 65% throttle, you can lock on easier, and if you run outta missiles, than you can just fire away with your MG.

seems though like the machine guns do much less damage than they did in 1942. they seems so weak. But No i dont want to have to land for all the same reasons.

I just shot up a few planes on the ground with my MGs, and they took little damage... Anyway if you've not got a throttle control, you can't control your speed, only go 100% or slow down to 300km/h and lower rediuclously fast.

The aircraft carrier should have the steam catapult and the landing catch/hook. Pilots should HAVE to land to repair. Thats what happens in real life.

The game was made way too arcadey. I was looking for more of a sim.
