This thread is for a bunch of other games also but... w\e anyways here's the question Do you think that 2x NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GS OC without using the overclocking will beable to run BF2 on 1024/768 res and have all (and I mean ALL) of the graphics settings turned up on high? Other info: AMD 62x Athlon processor, 4200 dual core 400 GB HD at 7200 RPM ASUS A8N SLI Delux motherboard 2g of memory Other Questions: Will it beable to run F.E.A.R. , Quake 4 , and DoW on the highest details as well without much lag? :)
Yes! I have one 7600GT non OC. @ 1280 x 1024, with all (I mean ALL!) video settings as high as they will go! --Deamion
Yeah right, I have a 7600GT OC that runs it at 1024x960 with everything on high and it gets 55-60 fps, if it was at 1280x1024 my BFG 7600GT OC would explode
my 7600 GT BFG can handel FEAR at 1280x1024 no problem if I leave out the AA. Dude lol, at 1024* yes you'll be able to run everthing enabled you could probally go higher.
Well it looks like everyone has the same card with different results. My system specs are AMD Athlon 3800+ AM2 (Single Core) 2GB DDR2 Asus M2N-Sli Deluxe 2x WD 250 16MB Cache Sata2 in Raid 0 Leadtek 7600GT PCI-e My Battlefield 2 Settings Are @ 1280X1024 60Hz Full everything 4x AA 100% Draw. My monitor is an 8ms 19" Dell LCD Maybe I'm able to run at these settings because of the foundation I'm running. I don't know my FPS but the game has no lag. (I can't stand lag) And I seem to have the "upper hand" when it comes to one on one gun fights. So I must have a good FPS. I think. Oh, and two other firends of mine has a similar rig, with the same card. They also have no problems. One last thing, I also got rid of my BFG OC 7600GS because it sucked really bad. Maybe you could try a Winfast Leadtek? I'm not tring to cause trouble, I just hope I can help out. --Deamion
a 7600gt is a good card for the price, i run BF2 everything on highest settings
To be honest, lm running a 7800gt with a 4400 amd , and 2 gigs ram, l have bit lights and dynamic shadows off, l have the desktop set to max and application preffered v sync, and the game graphics settings all at max, bar the bit lights n shadows, they will create lag spikes no matter what card you are running, you need sli to even come close to ZERO lag, mind you most people dont notice there own system latency, like slow ram, still the card you want should run it all on max with no major problems so long as you restrict dynamic lighting and shadows.
The last poster is a 'bit' off the mark! I have ONE 7800GT in an SLi-capable mobo and I have every setting turned to the MAX (no exceptions) plus AA and I have smooth gameplay even in special forces, even when flying and with a much slower CPU than the last guy! Never seen lag other than network lag and I NEVER OC my hardware. Try turning off WinXP services for a better game before you start burning out your circuitry! regards konypt ------------------------------------------------------------ CPU AMD Athlon 64 3200+ 2.02GHz Gigabyte K8 Triton GN-K8N-SLI NForce4 SLI GPU Nvidia Geforce 7800GT 256MB PCIe x1(ONE) RAM 2048MB DDR400 Audigy2 Soundcard WinXP SPwhatever-is-newest BF2 Patch Type FULL

it depends on the computer as well not just the graphics card, I think I have AA at x4 because it doesnt look like its running 1024-960. I can also run FEAR very well and I can run CoD2 very good.
