Our Video Camera (it's kinda new) can plug into my computer via USB calbe type thingy. Will I be able to capture video using that? Cuz Fraps is a bit of a PC hog, and Gamecam can't really record sounds.

perhaps there is a was to connect it directly to your VGA cord? And record directly from the VGA output? That would be a cool feature!

Er, I have a GeForce FX5200 it's a PCI slot type card. And Fraps REALLY makes me lag. I get like 3 FPS. On low settings. So I'm kinda screwed with Fraps.

Normally the USB connector on your digital video camera is for uploading pictures and video, not capturing it, I consider it extremely unlikely that it will do anything of the sort but since you didn't post the model you will have to read the manual to find out.

Yes FRAPS is a complete hog and for a low end machine like yours you may as well forget any kind of ingame vid capture unless you use an outside device. If your vid card has video out you could use a vid recorder or DVDTV device to capture it, or even send it to another computer to capture it. There are also dedicted external devices for around $100 that will do the trick.

well if your desperate to record something, then play in the lowest resolution possible which is probebly 640x480 or maybe 800x600, play in lowest settings with no AA or no AF either and make sure you dont have any other programs running in the background.
