I've done allot of modding over the years for a variety of games like the Jedi Knight series, the Medal of Honor Series & a few other Quake based games. I don't know much about BF2's development history but as far as I can see it's not a Quake based game.
I just started playing the game (mostly offline since I don't have internet at my house atm) & I would like to know how to script commands together; Meaning, the parachute, pickup kit, & enter/exit vehicle buttons should all be 1 button IMO; So I'd like to know how I may go about scripting these buttons together. Normally with most games in this genre (most of which are Quake based) I can create an alias which executes each of these commands whenever the alias is used, then I just bind whatever key to the alias; So effectively, I'm making my own new command... sorta.
Anyways, I've tried going through a variety of web pages on the internet specifically about this & have yet to find any pages that tell me how I may accomplish this goal.
Any assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time in advance.
dont think its ever been done or is possible this game is a little different then CSS and a script might get you banned by punkbuster if you chose to ever play online
Aside from getting banned or kicked via PB, you will be disadvantaged because AFAIK if you were to play at a LAN or at a competition or even at another computer aside from your own, you would have to get used to playing again without your binds. Try it if you want. I couldn't tell you how to do it but I just advise you not to.
I don't really see me playing this with real people (which is ironic, I know). Currently I play this with a controller more than the keyboard & mouse, specifically because I have my PC set up as a console system for the most part. It's hooked up to a TV, I use Media Center & GameEx to control the PC with a remote control or the controller, so getting kicked out of real multiplayer games is of no concern to me really.
