Is bunny hopping INCREDIBLY rediculous in BF2 (as predicted)? Early when the game first came out, it didnt seem like a widespread problem, but I just got back from vacation and played again... and its horrible. It rediculous that I have to track Michael Jordan as he jumps every which way 7 feet in the air... and then nails me at close range with a GP30/M203. Why is it that the players are not able to fire while running and draining their endurance, but are still able to do so while jumping and draining the endurace as well? I realize the ability to jump high is so certain aspects of the game can be accomplished ("climbing" walls, getting on obstacles, etc). Thats fine. However, its not fair that a player has to use iron sights (and is slowed down) to get a decent shot, while any idiot who gets caught with his pants down can jam on the space bar, maintain shooting ability, and be much more harder to hit. I think this is a major drawback to the game, and wish to complain to EA about it. Do you think they would listen?

Bunnyhopping is a part of every FPS game and is instilled in many players minds. It's available to do in the game so I say deal with it until/if Dice makes it so you can't jump around. Bunnyhopping makes it harder to get hit...isn't that the point of surviving? Should they just stand there so you can shoot them

you don't see soldiers fighting in real life bunnyhopping over bullets do you?. Also bunnyhoppers make snipers and shotguns completly usless. Personally i'd be happier if they did remove jumping from the game.:naughty:

I don't think they should remove jumping from the game.... BUT, I do think they should remove the ability to shoot with a fair amount of accuracy while jumping. I realize that BF2 has arcade-like gameplay, but that is just a little too much. You should be able to jump, like you can in real life. But you should not be able to hit anything while you're jumping AND firing ,unless it's by pure dumb luck. In other words, they should make it so a guy who is jumping and firing only scores a bullet hit 1 times in 100 shots, or thereabouts. Or perhaps make it so that you cannot fire at all while jumping. Perhaps in real life you wouldn't even be able to fire while jumping around unless the weapon you were wielding was a pistol. I don't know, I've never tried jumping around and firing an AK-47 at the same time before. As I said, I know that BF2 does not attempt to be as realistic as possible and is actually arcade-like, but this is something perhaps they should make a little closer to realistic. Should you be able to jump? YES Should you be able to hit anything that moves(or doesn't move) while jumping around? NO Still, it is possible to shoot the crap outta someone while they're bunnyhopping. It is harder, but far from impossible. Even with a Shotgun. But I can see how it would be almost impossible with a Sniper Rifle. But I don't see anyone bunnyhopping constantly, all the time, everywhere they go. In fact, I pretty much only see it near action. So, imo, there is still plenty of opportunity for Snipers. And if they are near some bunnyhopping action then they should use their pistol. Just my two cents...

sadly after the first shot with a sniper rifle (which thanks to EA/DICE rarely kills) Players tend to realise theres a sniper around and go pro bunnyhopping making the second shot difficult to make. sad%20(frown).gif prehaps players can jump,BUT jump very slowly like in COD, so it doesn't make much difference if they bunnyhop or not.

If you just got hit by a sniper bullet are you just going to sit still and wait for the next one to come? BTW: what you see in BF2 is not even close to bunnyhopping. It's tard jumping when done excessively but there are times you need to hop around to avoid the lazy sniper ;)

My thought was just to make it so you cant shoot while jumping (the same as you cant shoot while sprinting). This is how its done in Americas Army and I think CoD.

well that half fixes the problem. But beacause ppl will still be able to bunnyhop while realoading or to get close to knife you it really will only make a small difference

The solution to this problem is easy. Make it so that you can jump, maybe twice in a row, but that deletes all of your stamina. After that it just recharges as normal and you're able to jump again. This will allow for people jumping up ledges and the like, but disables bunnyhoppers.
