K, im 15 and dont have alot of money. My comp is pci so it wont play BF2 oviously but if i worked for a month or so i think i can make about $1000. My computer now plays cs pretty good which is all i need if for. I have never played Bf2 but i mean the ratigns are off the chart and it kinda sound like from cs to BF2 is parallel(they both kinda like eachother but totally differnt). SO! should i work for a month make about $1000 im guessin and buy a 3000* sapphire x800xl for gaming but really only BF2 and cs and anyother great games that come out. Or just relax dontn work and dont waste a sent for one game. The way i c it is that for BF2 i would be paying about $1200 for it, cuz computer and game. Now im guessing most ppl goinna say yes cuz this is the BF2 forum but ifyou wee me in my situation and you know all you know now, wat should i do? POLL up too P.S canadian prices so $1000 dont get ya much more than x800 xl,3000+,512ram,80 gig hd,PCI-E MSI neo4 platinum

Its a great game. If you want a game similar to BF2 but more realistic and in some ways more sensible then get yourself a copy of Joint Operations Typhoon Rising. It's been out for long enough to have enough patches to fix a lot of problems, and it isn't as demanding on your system as BF2 is. It can be picked up for next to nothing now too because its "old" which is another reason to buy it. There's still a pretty large dedicated online community on there so no worries about people to play with.

I beleive Sky captain is running his BF2 on a PCI card. Not sure what version of a geforce but I know someone here is running BF2 on a PCI card. I will also be buying a PCI card for my friend so he can play with me! ;)

CS and BF2 parallel? LOL.... sure buddy. Let me tell you this. If you play CS, you will hit squat in BF2 ;). The aiming/hit-detection is completely different. And while CS is focused around going down the same corridor for 99999999999999th time, BF2 is always different.

Did you try playing the demo? If not, you should so you have a better idea what you're missing, if you can get it to play at all. BTW, if you're 15, and can make $1000, you're better off saving it for school. You'll need $1000 in college a lot more than you do now. Stick with CS. Sorry if I sound like an old man.

You're having a laugh aren't you? If anything CS (well Source at least) will make you better at BF2 especially in urban maps such as Strike At Karkand where sometimes the enemy is so close that a good deal of accurate spraying is required, no time to go to backsight. Then when you go back to CS Source it makes you better at that too, because you're used to emptying half a clip into someone because most of the weapons require you to hit the enemy several times before he goes down. Its messy but it gets the job done.

BF2 doesn't require half a clip, all it takes is 3-4 bullets. If you can't play Karkand killing people with 3-4 bullets, i am afraid to think of how many times you run out of ammo.... And CS and BF2 has nothing incommon when it comes to aiming. CS is client-side detection, while BF2 is server-side detection, meaning that in CS you shoot at nothing but the actual pixels representing the target (hence the abundance of aim-bots), while in BF you as the player need to adjust the target's movement/direction, adjust for bullet velocity and adjust to the net latency, and therefore, shoot ahead of the target. So, as i said, if he is used to CS (where they shoot straight at the target without adjustments), he will have hard time hitting anything that's not stationery in BF2, cause in BF2 you got to lead your targets
