I am not stealing this idea, I'm just saying that its a good one. In the expansion, based on urban, ground combat, wouldn't it be cool to customize your weapon. Your a navy seal, with the option on your M4 to put on a reflex scope/ACOG/foregrip....support, M4 with a C-mag. Or for a sniper or support a bipod feature, in which you can mount the weapon on a rail/window/sandbags..etc. For sniper..M21 with scope? or without as an upclose weapon. OR! silencer? Your one of the middle eastern spec ops (new army in exp). You choose an AK-74SU. Maybe you want a silencer? Aimdot scope? GP30 grenade launcher? They should put in categories. For instance, Scope:, Silencer:, accesories..like a bipod/ etc. See instead of unlockable weapons. Unlockable accessories for your weapon. And you rank alot EASIER. :daddy: SteelSabre o.O

thats sounds gud actually maybe they cud implement that into the exp pak or maybe into the full game with a patch so for every promotion u get a wepon unlok and an optional upgarde bipods, scopes etc.

Here are some things I'd like to see: >I hate it when the medic revives me and I get shot again, because I haven't moved out of his sights. I'd like to be able to drag wounded teammates out of harm's way. Since they already have "rag-doll physics" in the game, I (a non-programmer, admittedly) think it would be relatively easy. I'd say you could "grab" the downed comrade with the "use" key, pulling him by a targeted limb, or hoist him over your shoulder if targeting the torso. >Often times I'll shoot someone and never know (until I get a "damage assist" later)...not only frustrating, but unrealistic. We've all been there, I know. I have a possible solution, though. There's a video out on the internet somewhere of a terrorist sniper plugging a USMC soldier in the chest, knocking him flat on his butt, and he pops right back up and looks around for his attacker (and if I've heard correctly, commences to performing first aid on a nearby comrade). In the game, whenever someone gets tagged, you could use the same animation as if the player had been killed, only he isn't dead. That player would become prone, like he'd died and been revived. Probably should include the "shock" effect as well. The same should go for explosions. >My sniper skills have been somewhat lacking of late, so I've been practising in single-player...only I can't practise with the Barrett, because the SP game doesn't include rank or unlocks. That should be remedied. Personally, I'd like the SP game to be customizeable in the same manner as the MP game. >Auto-punish or auto-forgive selection. 'Nuff said. >A "spot" on a mine or satchel charge should have a corresponding "alert" exclamation, instead of the standard "Enemy unit spotted" message. I hate it when my driver is headed right for 'em, and there's nothing I can do but clench my teeth and subsequently die. I also agree with someone else on this board, that those items (mines, C-4, claymores) need their own distinctive icons, rather than the same skull-and-crossbones. Maybe just a different color for each? >Bring back the binoculars. Sure, you can't call for artillery the way you used to, but it'd still help, especially for squad leaders who need a little more precise placement of the crosshairs for giving orders. >Commo rose needs "Suppress this area," "Watch this lane of fire," "Flank left/right of this target" commands. If a squad is on Teamspeak, this sort of thing isn't as necessary, but not everyone is. >Snipers get screwed over on game-points if they do their jobs right, staying out of the way and not getting into slobberknockers with machine-gun toting troops. I'd like to see them be able to do something else for points to make up the deficit. I haven't come up with any ideas yet, though. I'll post them if I do. >Spotting enemy troops and vehicles is incredibly helpful to the team, but you don't get teamwork credit for it. Even a little would be nice (that would also encourage people to actually do it more often). >As a former Army sniper, I know that it's very important (as a sniper) to be able to see where the round is going, so you can adjust your aim. In real life, you can actually see the vapor trail of the bullet as it travels to its target. In the game, especially at longer ranges, you can't see the strike of the round, much less a vapor trail. I realize what a pain it would be to imitate that effect in-game...how about a "tracer" effect that only the sniper can see? (tracers that everyone can see would obviously be a bad idea roll%20eyes%20%28sarcastic%29.gif) More as I come up with it...

you used to be an army sniper? what year did you graduate or class? my dad was a sniper instructor before he retired. i think he was down at fort ord or something, ill ask him.

It was a wierd situation, actually. I was stationed in Aschaffenburg, Germany in '92, and the Ft. Benning people brought the school to Germany. I don't know if it was a one-time thing or not, but it was official (to my knowledge, anyway). Loooong time ago...

Good idea GInger man. I would say that a few of your ideas are a littledifficult to add in but they are for the most part good. Im learning the Python and there is an ability to attach one object to another per say. So perhaps dragging someone may work but we have to remeber that Bodies lose their animation after they stop moving so that could prove to be a little difficult to make the bodies animate again.

I also agree that it would be nice to see some more indepth commands perhaps a third Commo rose? siunce we have Basic, Squad/Commander and perhaps one other wouldnt be so bad.

I like the idea of modable guns but they just need balancing and they would have to be compatible with the game engine which Im not sure how it would work. Since it seems that you would have to model each seperate weapon just for it to work in the game. Unless they enhance the editor and they allow those objects to be interchanged.

One more... As there is a squad and command comm channel, it'd be nice to have a vehicle channel as well. Of course, I have no idea how feasible that might be.

@Trojanman It's really helpful to be able to talk to the driver. Ever been in a Blackhawk unable to train the door gun over to the bad guy just pixels to one side, and you couldn't tell the pilot to turn a little? Or have you seen mines in front of the HMMWV just before it ran over them, and been unable to warn the driver? How about when a non-squad-member is driving the vehicle you're in, and you can't tell him where you need to go? How about when you're on a right-side firing port, and a bad guy crosses behind the vehicle out of your reach, and you can't tell the left-side gunner to expect him? How about gunning in a helo, and the missile cam is a little too high to see your target, but you can't tell the pilot? There are a lot of good reasons to be able to communicate inside a vehicle. If everyone in the vehicle is in your squad (and is on teamspeak), this isn't an issue...but in my experience so far, this isn't the case as often, if not more often, than it is.
