I just think that, yes i do like having a reward system in a game but it has too many exploits, for example getting your ground defence ribbon, requires 3 minutes and 5 kills in a tow in 1 round, which some may say is an easy one to get anyway but i would like to think you actually have to kill 5 times with the tow to get it but no,you can be a commander, sit in a tow and kill with your artillary and get 5 kills and still get the ribbon. Other badges and ribbons can be achieved in a similar way and as i have said in another thread getting a sniper badge by killing in a tank rather than with your gun itself doesn't seem right somehow.
I just see the Veteran and Expert badges too hard to get. See, Basic Air Defence: 10 Minutes in Stinger (Surface to Air Missile). Fair enough, achievable in a round. (Although less of a test of skill, more of patience.) Veteran Air Defence:
- 12 Kills with Stinger (Surface to Air Missile)
- 250 Global Hours in a Stinger (Surface to Air Missile).
Now who the fark is going to spend 250 hours sitting inside a stationary weapon? I know it's global, but that would talk too bloody long to achieve. Same goes for all of them with a timescale rather than a pointscale.
Well that's exactly the whole point of the system guys. The basic badges are really easy to get so everybody can get some and have a sense of achievement, sort of like the gold stars they give kids in kindy. The next level is difficult enough to get so there is a sense of real achievement but it's still possible for most average players, and the top level is that hard to get that not everybody will get them, we can't ALL be experts, that would be silly, but you know that if you see someone who is a Expert (at whatever) then you know he has spent stupid amounts of time and effort getting there.
But that's the thing - pretty much, it seems, all you have to do is be in a plane for 250 hours. =\
well if u play maps like operation clean sweep all day im sure that veteran badge could come quite easily. what would be realy interesting is if a clan got a ranked server and decided to sit for 250 hours in stingers just leave the comps on. now see i imagine u could exploit this if bf hasnt fixed itself so that one person cnat logon more than once at a time. hmm thatd be interesting.
I'm way cooler than n0e (who isn't though?)

leaving my comp on for 250 hours....? someone say large electricity bill?
lol~~~ i just think the exposive badge is hard to get =_=" god damn the time of the round end too fast i did my best and only get 12 kills~~~ and a lot of kill myself coz i need to put 2 c4 in my buggy and run into a tank or apc with luck they dont see me i can ramp them and make it a kamikaza style but..... too many time i tried and i failed so crap it~~~ also another thing how the fart would someone know i got all the badge? i mean in the game if i tell some one i got all the badge they would just simply ignore me... so i think~~~ EA should show the badge, ribbon, and medal on the unitform (dont know the spelling) so other can see it~~~ and notice that u r somebody right? what would the badge ribbon and medals be worthy if no one notice that u got this many? right? forgive me for the grammer and spelling i know i suck ass to the bottom of the sea but i m a farting fob~~~ so plz live with it thx you ^o^
I got my Explosive badge on my first try. You don't have to kill vehicles with it, you can kill infantry with it too to make it count. The tough one was my Expert (Gold) knive badge. Damn, the map had 8 tickets left when i got the 18th kill
If you get the basic knife, do you need to get another 7 kills in another round for the veteran, or will you get it with your 50th overall kill? I'd assume it is the same as the pistol badges but I got them both at the same time because I had over 50 kills when I got that 7th kill in the round, so I don't know.
err...well the basics are just that. BASIC! so you ignore people who are like YEA I GOT BASIC YO! then you slap them in the face with your penis. Mollywhop look it up :)
