I've gotten to know a lot of Canadians at my job and I am thoroughly convinced only the brittle ones who fly off the handle at any hint that Canada is the US ugly cousin look for those posts online and then post away like someone just cornholed their mother. I really like the idea of a 3 way map but I don't think EA would ever do it. Invasion USA is really just a new map with a new description but if it get's ugly here when people talk about it, how much uglier would it get if they really do it? I would LOVE to see a Alaskan theatre and a Panama theater though. What I would like to see is another Army. Russian, EU or even Canadian (having trained with them I can honestly say they take their jobs a lot more seriously than we do and have comparable if not superior gear in some instances) and a lot more official maps for Chinese forces.

Delta force your idea on buying stuff is admirable but lets not let this turn into a game the Wolfenstien ET where the new players get ripped to shreds by other players who have more powerful weapons and more health. The unlockable weapons are just an option not really a true upgrade. For example the G3 may be the most powerful assault rifle in the game but you are releiving yourself of the grenade launcher to make up for it. Or perhaps sniper rifles where you can trade accuracy for power or speed for power.

I also want to see new game modes as well. but the main basis of the BF series is the focus on the war itself in the game. Its about your side overall defeating the enemy. Now the objective gametype is actually really a good idea since that is very good for a BF series game as weve seen. But I dont know if a commander killing type gameplay or trying to push an explosive device into your enemy's base is really fair. especially with the spawn camping problem. becasue then everyone would jsut sit there with M249s and kill you as you came.

I personally belive new locations would be cool. How about a fight in a cave system? That would be unique and fun. Or how about having cool bases like on wolfenstiren ET. I think that we need more maps that force fighting inside bulidings, where it typiclly takes place. Leave outside for the n00bs in their tanks to own, I prefer to see my enemy before I kill them.

Here are my ideas:

1. Maps in North America. There should be maps out in the American countryside (think Kansas prairie or something :) ) and urban areas. Imagine how cool a battle in New York City would be (although the map would have a fictional name.)

2. European sides. Battlfield 2's archives already contain full sets of French and German voice commands; looks like a European side or sides was/were planned for BF2 but canceled. It'd be cool to have an expansion pack focusing on Europe and its armies.....

3. This isn't really an idea for an expansion pack, but more over should have been included in BF2 itself. Conquest mode is fine and dandy but gets really boring after awhile. In BF1942, the expansion pack "Secret Weapons of WWII" added not only two new sides (British special forces and German special forces) and eight new maps (with a ninth map later on), but came with a new gameplay mode called objective mode. In it, the British commandoes would raid secret German bases to destroy important objectives, whether it be V2 missiles or an experimental German aircraft; the Germans must defend. I was pretty pissed that objective mode would not be a feature of BF2 Special Forces. Why? Special forces were not made to fight and take land; that's the army's job. Special forces were designed for more sophisticated missions. Hell, many of BF2 SF's maps look like they were MADE for objective mode - one map features a battle completely on an amphibious assault ship, while another features a chemical weapons center. Would it have been that hard to make objective mode? Also, extra modes like Capture the Flag would also be welcome.....

2) More than 2 armies involved in the conflict, a three way battle with multiple objectives of differring importance but only enough forces to hold a small part of the objectives, whoever holds the more valuable points loses tickets slower.

Interesting idea, but I don't like it much, for reasons of realism and gameplay. Although BF2's storyline is pretty unrealistic in some aspects, a three-way battle would totally be unrealistic - it's never been done before. Besides, in game it would be unfair, because you'd probably have two sides ganging up on one, etc. It would also be pretty confusing.....

Give me rappeling from choppers, the abillity to carry away wounded soldiers to safety

Your ideas are realistic but impractical gameplay-wise. Why rappel from chopper when you can bail and deploy chute? And the wounded soldier thing? Few people are caring enough to help their teammates like that...

I personally belive new locations would be cool. How about a fight in a cave system?

If I remember correctly, true tunnels (like those in BFV) are impossible to do with BF2's engine.

A patch with new maps. More weapons. The ability to customize my soldier. At least a little bit.

Supply Chain mode - where you can only take the next closest flag.
