Pethegreat™It is not either, its ea's slow crappy code. I get the same thing, 1 second 65fps on medium the next 2 or 3 fps:wtf: and naturally Ea has no knowledge about this problem.
Again I can say I have NEVER experienced that, and I only have a FX5600 vid card, so I don't really see how it can be crappy code (oh yes, and to repeat a point that has been said many times, it's not EA's code, it's DICE's). If it was crappy code surely it would do the same on all computers. I am not saying that you don't have this problem, and that it's not a real problem, just that I can't reproduce it. If I change my vidcard setting to higher my game runs crappy 100% (natural for a 5600), but if I keep the settings at a level I would expect to use for a low end vid card it runs fine 100%, exceptwhen I get on a few particular servers (I avoid thiose ones and it's fine) or I accidently leave my P2P software running, it is very sensitive to even a slow download even on a completely seperate computer.
I would like to help you with this but not being able to reproduce it makes it very difficult, and just lumping it into the "crappy code" basket makes it "somebody else's problem" and impossible to resolve!
I have tried this and I do experience less lag than I did before. Im not sure how much my FPS increased because I dont know how to find out what my FPS is. I heard that you have to type some command in the console but when I did it didnt work. Anyways good find Faction.
Just wondering but has anyone so far noticed a large disparity in the pictures? I didnt realize this but I should have said the first is from the modified and second from the unmodified.
I'm glad to say that I see no difference in the pictures! Glad to see that this is still helping the majority.
If this works I will have your babies.
MeadowIf this works I will have your babies.
It does work.
I like being able to play and not lag with a decent image.
can we have a baby shower then!? Ill bring the rattler!
How do you find out what your FPS is?
I use fraps but there is also draw_fps 1 I think thats the command you enter into the command line in-game to have the game display an FPS.
I tested this on BF1942, and none of the servers let me join because my data differs (it's the rename thing.) Is there a way around that?
