audioslimAnyway, last night I played with tripple buffering on , and at first it looked jerky , but I think that's my connection last night, being ropey. However what I did not get once was the dreaded 5 second 6800 pause which is good news (kind of makes sense that in relation to triple buffeing)
Yea most of my mid-game pausing stopped also, unless it is lag from the net/server, or if i get disconnected from the srever. How did the .77's work for you? BTW, strange that the .77 beta is out when the .76 full version isnt, isnt it?
Has anyone tested this with a single 6600GT card? Does it work as well as with the 6800GT and do people notice better framrates in other games too or is it just in BF2?
Forceware drivers are for all 5X , 6X + 7X cards. The driver versions are odd in that Nvidia will miss driver revisions, and even release drivers numberd after other version that are actually older. Dont worry about these being beta, like I said, install them, if they work in your games, keep them , if you have problems roll back. It's that easy to do these days I dont see any reason for putting up with old drivers, especially if your looking for a fix for something. NV's WHQl drivers come out few and far between. Even the beta's take an age to make it to the official site. PS - You all didnt have an issue installing the 77.3's that came with BF2, and they were pretty junk, beta of sorts (they wernt around before BF2 hit) and more to the point the 77.76 or 77's are far far better. Slim
I agree, I see a drastic and noticeable difference with these drivers. No hangups whatsoever on my BFG 6800 OC.
