Okay well I guess I won't be the first one who post about this but I wanne know the answer. My computer as it is now can't run BF2, even not the demo :( My Computer got this CPU : 1160MHz, AuthenticAMD, AthlonXP Mainboard : WindowsXP RAM : 256 MB Monitor : SyncMaster 753DFX Graphiccard : NVIDIA GeForce2 MX/MX 400 Soundcard : Creative SB Live! series(WDM) I-Connection : 1600/512 Kbit/s I wanne know what I need to upgrade to play BF2, And which graphic card is the best to play BF2 on good settings. I also placed the CPU statics because I don't know if that is even good enough to play BF2. I got about 620 euro to spend... I want to spent about 400+/-500 euro on a graphic card because I know from some friends (they have a graphic cards of about 400/450 euro, that you can play BF2 then @ very/the best settings... Anyone got some suggestions, for graphic card or other things???

Your CPU is pretty weak. You dont have enough RAM -- Games generally need at least 512. The RAM you do have is probably very, very low speed. Dont bother getting a 6600 or a 6800 unless you upgrade to a CPU thats at least 2.2ghz. They will be heavily bottlenecked and you wont get your monies worth out of them on your current cpu. You need at least 512 RAM. Thats a need need. A need need need. Generally, you need a new computer. =)

Why is it that all of my posts lose their formatting? I had plenty of spacing in there!

Buy a new computer with at lest an AMD64 +3000, a PCI-e motherboard, 1gb of ram and at lest a 6600gt.

CPU: no, it will never run it, you need 1.5ghz Ram: you need 4 times that and PC100(what you have) is still extremly slow Video card: its probaly an old PCI card, PCI=no worky with BF2.

Um, no, the 6600GT won't play BF2 1.02 at 1024x768x32 on full quality GR8. It plays it okay, but don't think about shadowing. It's just enough to get a playable frame rate with medium settings.

Maybe don't use the quick reply form at the bottom?

But as far as what you need Wou[Z]eR, have you read the min requirements and studied the vidcard support list? You should aim at bringing your machine as close as possible to recommended though.

Oh yes guys, his CPU is a XP @ 1160 Mhz but that makes it a 1500 or 1600+ I think so that's within spec just. For cheapest upgrade and best bang for your buck get 1Gb mem and AGP 6600GT, for best all round upgrade new mobo, athlon 64 3200+, 6600 or 6800 vid + 1Gb mem.
