I've noticed a lot of players are going into this rolling dive when they encounter enemies on the ground. For the life of me, I can't figure what keys or sequence of keys are allowing them to do this. It's a pretty effective tactic as it's hard to follow them all the way to the ground with your fire... I'm sure this is a terribly stupid question - any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, JC

I can't say that I've even seen it before, let alone how to do it. Is it similar to Dolphin Diving from BF'42?

Personally, I'm sure that the game does that automatically and the player is totally unaware of it. It's basically a graphics thing, making things look "realistic" and giving players a change in CQB situations. It's not a key combination, the game does it automatically if you go prone while moving forward or strafing. From the player's standpoint, he doesn't even know it's happening.

Nope - it's not dolphin diving. A player will be running laterally and then do a roll on the way down to the prone position. Maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me... I played one game two nights ago where it was a non-stop occurrence.

Wow - that makes sense. It's a b&*ch to try and put bullets into someone when they're doing that move, though :)

I cannot believe you guys can't figure this out. I/O is right and I never even questioned it the first time I saw it.

LOL

It is ( strafe + prone ) at the same time. Then you fall and role to prone. Your view doesn't change really, but there is a swift motion as you move to a stop. That is the role. I did it and didn't know I was doing it during the demo and my friend asked me how I did it. I told him to push strafe + prone, because that is what I had been pushing. Then he was able to do too. So this is how it's done. It isn't done by the Game w/o you knowing....
