Try turning your video settings down. I can max the settings with 1024 x 768 and get perfect fps when playing single player, but as soon as I connect to a server I lag like a mofo. Today I joined a 32 person server and was lagging to hell, I turned my video settings to medium and connected to the same server and it ran like a dream. Amd64 3000 1gb ram nvidia geforce 6800gt
Medium with that system?! WTF?!?!?!
hey, I have to run low to get it playable on the demo. I got a similiar set up.
well i have an AMD Athlon 3500+, with 1GB of Dual Channel RAM, a 6600gt and 2Mb cable internet and the game runs perfect for me on 10x7 with 4aa
There is a big difference between choppy framerates and server lag. Usually at the beginning of a map I get some pretty obvious framerate drop (I assume it is textures rendering for the first tiem into memory). But afterwards it is clearly server issues. But I have already turned my settings to medium just because I always do that when I get a game and it sets everything to high :)
Well other people have said it wasn't ;aggy. Remeber to look for low pings and stuff though.
Oh and Can someone quickly tell me what they think my system SHOULD run at? WIth these specs? Athlon 2800 (socket 754) 1gb (2 x 512mb) PC3200 Ram (Dont beleive its dual channel) Leadtek A400 (6800GT 256mb (AGP x8)with a heat sink to end all heat sinks)
it should run pretty fine, but hope u dont have the problem pethegreat has, hes got good pc and lags, crazy shit......yo pethegreat whats ur connection speed?
