Do you feel ripped off by this game? Personally I feel extremely ripped off. This game was as overhyped as Halo 2 and is only marginally better than Halo 2 was (I thought Halo 2 sucked so you know my opinion on this topic). The online play is very laggy, ranked or nonranked, and most of the times it makes it unplayable or extremely difficult to. There are still many glitches (I'm aware that this is still an unpatched version but its still lame). People have already started abusing the ranking system (I know its to be expected but come on EA try and do something about it, even if it means taking out the part where your points count). Teamkilling. Ohhh, I cannot tell you how many times in a ranked game I've been cruising along in a tank and a teammate leaps out in front of me and I try to avoid him but I run over them anyways and then every time I see in the corner "You have been Punished!" Wtf is with this? They really need to regulate that because its rediculous, It happens to me all the time and everytime they were accidental TKs. One time I was in a downtown area in a M1A2 Abrams and I saw all my teammates along the sides of the road so I was very very cautiously crusing forward in short bursts watching in front of me. Then out of no where an idiot teammate took out a rocket launcher and shot the front of my tank. I backed up to hide in an alleyway and then I saw two teammates run out behind my tank so that I ran over them. They both punished me for the teamkill. I'm sure everyone already has dealt with this, but the graphics requirements are entirely way too high. They expect everyone to run out and buy a $600+ Processor, a $500+ Graphics Card Setup, and a $150+ Memory Setup. Do they think we are rich? I mean I have a P4 3.0E GHz @ 800 FSB, MSI Nvidia 6600 GT 128 mb GDDR, 1 GB of PC2700 DDR Memory, and a 100 GIG WD Ultra ATA + an 80 GIG SG Ultra ATA HD. Both Hard Drives have been defragged within the last week. Now, I'd like to know what EA and DICE were thinking when they made this game? I can play HL2 max res and its no problem, Doom 3 max res no problem. But when it comes to BF2 I have to have my stuff set to Med res to have it playable and it still lags some. This is probably still too early for Judgement, but I think if BF2 keeps going the way its going now, its going to turn into another BFV. I really hope not, but it's starting to look that way. Maybe the first few patches will fix lots of these crashes, glitches, bugs, and etc. Still, EA and DICE need to get their shit together.

Online is not laggy at all. If it is for you, turn your settings down. My system specs: 512MB RAM 160GB HDD Ati 9200SE @4x AGP AMD athlon XP 3000+ I can run it on low/med varied, takes a while to load but hey the maps are huge. I get an average ping of 30 and I am not at all jerky, ever. Takes about 1 minute for the comp to smoothen, and I mean, smoothen. No FPS drops ever. I'd advise ditching nVidia for this game, regardless of the partnership. Ask people around here, people with 6800GTs who can't run the game max settings well. Teamkillers aren't designed by the game, the server has an option which can be set to 1 or 0 which chooses it to be on or off. If you don't like FF, go on a non FF server. I understand you and I know there are a lot of twats out there but that's part of life and you have to accept it. However, I agree with you on the ranking, it's a complete waste of time. Full ranked servers all the time, with glitchers/abusers... All for a stupid rank and a faulty score system. I am happy with this game and it will certainly get better as the patches come.

Overall, not ripped off, but disappointed. There are some things to like about the game and engine, but it is way unfinished. I think if Dice takes my $50 bucks and applies it to creating patches (or even future games for that matter) that enhance my gaming experience beyond the inital release of BF2 then I haven't been ripped off. If they take my money and do nothing then yes, I'll feel ripped. Second cornhole kind of ripped.

I don't feel ripped off. It runs great on my computer (every single setting on high at 1024x768), it's pretty fun (shooting down choppers and blasting snipers), and my only complaint (besides lack of bots on larger maps) is the teamkillers who punish you after running in your line of fire. Other than that, I love it.

I don't feel ripped off at all. I'm satisfied with my purchase, as it has supplied me with many fun moments of gaming, and will undoubtedly continue to do so. Especially with mods coming out.

I don't get too much lag, but I'm not really willing to start changing parts in my brand new computer just to run BF2 at Max settings. I had everything maxed out except Lighting/Shadows, and it ran fairly well. I have a Geforce 6800, with 1 gig RAM.

You only got ripped off because you bought into the hype instead of having realistic expectations. I'm assuming you bought the game the day it came out for the highest price the game will ever be, and without having firsthand knowledge of how the game actually was. You didnt think rationally and were not a wise consumer. You have no one to be disapointed at but yourself.

I am not ripped off because I got the demo, but did not buy the game yet. I decided to wait to see how it goes. Seems like some players have no trouble with bare requirements, and some players with "Super PC's" are having alot of trouble. I don't plan on buying it due to most of the server lag complaints. I would rather play PointofExistence anyway!
