It's really very easy to dodge all of these newbies and people who don't want to work together: Play late at night. I just had a GREAT game on an EA public server. Everyone was working together, we always had 2 medics, the squads communicated with each other, the commander gave us artillery, supplies, UAV, you name it. We had 6/8 people assigned to squads. There was this awesome heli pilot (Name: Phanilla) who picked up players and dropped them off at undefended bases. We were working together, and it was undoubtedly my best Battlefield 2 experience yet. It was 2 A.M when I started playing. Play in the daytime, however, you'll find a whole bunch of newbies running around tking, with no medics and no commanders. Another forumgoer suggested this, and I was amazed at it's effectiveness. Tired of all the newbies? Wait untill midnight before playing. I bet you'll find a good game. Hope this helps people.
WTF?! It must be the Summer Solstice or something. When you get a good teamplay experience in Battlefield 2 Public servers you expect it to be the same night druids are dancing around hills in forests worshiping the moon or something. Teamplay? In a public server? /me still struggles to comprehend it. I'll give it a try, but I normally stick to my clan's public server. There's enough of us in there most of the time to make a squad, and we're always on TS>.
weird, someone posted saying exactly EXACTLY same thing other week.
I think this goes for almost ALL games, it is what I always preach.."PLAY AT NIGHT". I would say 90% of the best online games have always been late at night. I have said this before and then all the kids always get angry, but the fact is 13 year olds are going to play a lot differently than 20-30 yr olds. There was one night I swear it was if my entire team was in the same room. Best teamwork I have ever seen. This was a public server, no clans, etc..And, it was the funnest I have had the RARE chance to play this bugged game. Plus, because EA are a bunch of lazy @#%# I cant play this on my laptop, which means I dont really get online with BF2 during daytime much anyways. Worst time for me (Here in the US) is 3-6 CST. I swear every moron is online. Just yesterday, they tried to kick me for, get this, BEING TOO GOOD. Go figure. And of course during daytime it is nothing more than constant lame ass votes. God do they get annoying.

Though i guess we might not be talking about the same person here. The one I got this from actually posted in another topic, and I felt it didn't get the attention it deserved after I tried it and found out that it worked very well. Did this person you mention post this in his own topic, or someone else's?

DeathHawkWHAT DO PPL HAVE AGAINST MY AGE GROUP???? IT'S NOT JUST US
Hmm I wonder why... I have always been a night gamer since I have either worked all day or had school, but needless to say, you still get your number of shitty players. #1 The late night kiddy. Those most arrogant and immature play from 5:00pm - 2:00am. The age group is about 13-15. #2 The drunk by himself gamer. Need I say more? #3 The High gamer. He just has no idea wtf is going on. I myself do this from time to time. :) #4 The absolute stat whore. These guys solo it out and get pissed really easily at the game and stay up until daylight playing. Age: 15-24. #5 The foreigner. This guy can't speak a word of English, yet refuses to shut up when noone undestands him. Usually a 14 year old in china where it is the middle of the day. You can't escape them. These people are out there, watch your nines and you should be fine.
Well, not all young ones like myself are n00bish idiots. I make a good commander, and am a pretty good pilot. But then, a few months of BFE-WaW has disciplined me. (sorta)
except for flying planes & sniping (which i'm getting better at :)) i can do anything on BF2. on topic:I find that it's more luck than anything to the quality of players on a sever. At night you just get n00bish players from different time zones anyway or n00bs are having a late night. well there's my two cents:D
Maybe thats why people complain about your age group playing games like Battlefield 2. Do you play as any kind of support class which may help your team in any way? I thought not. Its always..."I'm a pilot, I play as spec ops" or "I'll go commander!". Why don't you play a beneficial support class instead. Several snipers on a team are hardly beneficial, just because they've watched Enemy At The Gates and think they're Vasilli or something. My dad who is 42 also plays Battlefield 2 sometimes on my machine and makes me laugh when he plays. He grabbed a tank and hurtled off to the enemy base and guess who's there? Thats right! Idiots jumping around waiting for a Jet to spawn. Easiest 6 kills I've ever seen. Right in the middle of the runway too with absolutley no cover. That isn't helping your team. The same thing happens on the Aircraft carrier too, and a good artillery attack can fuck their day up :D. Plane dancing n00bs. You all forget thats it not about "stats". Stats don't show a good player, they show someone who has too much time on their hands. Its about helping your team, and its about helping the player next to you out. Go support class or medic or engineer for a change eh? Too many war films make these kids think they're either a) Vasilli b) Rambo Spec Ops Green Beret man blowing everything up with C4 or c) Maverick and Goose waiting for Jets to spawn.
