Ok ive been doing some calculations here and if someone were to get all the badges he would have to sit about 65732hours 15minutes and 10 seconds. Or rounded up 7.5 years. These calculations may be wrong but still its a lot of time. 7.5 years in front of a computer, playing the same game over and over. Its a good game but not that good. I got the info about the badges here.

yea these requirements REALLY need to be toned down. Realistically the game may last 5 years AT MOST. And we will be having another Battlefield game before then if the next expansion does well.

actually your way off by my calculations a little more than 1.5 years, 13000 hours, (if your really good and assuming u dont sleep lol) think about it this way. see where it says u need like 250 global hours as engineer for veteran engineer combat and 1000 for expert well that only counts as 1000 hours towards ur calculations. and then u dont even need to add in the hours needed for the repair badge to that because the expert one is also 1000 hours. tell me if this doesnt make sense to u ill try and explain it easier.

no he's probably right, because all medals have 3 versions: bronze, silver, and gold. And of course, as you move on to silver and gold medals, the requirements of each one increases. So who knows? I have yet to see anyone with a single silver or gold medal (silver and gold stars dont count).

I got a Silver Knive Badge and a Silver Pistol Badge, not medals though, the game hasn't been out for that long. The lowest is like 150 Global Hours, and i only got 80 Global Hours (and have been playing almost everyday since the release) As for those calculations, they are way off, most of those times can be accumulated in parrallel. I can be a medic class, sitting in a chopper, being the commander and playing on the East Front map at the same time.... so i am accumulating the hours for all of those 4 criterias at the same time.

hydraslav what is your tactic for the knife badges!? I know you need 7 kills in a round with it its just getting them drives me nuts! But still considering most people dont spend 8 hours a day playing 1.5 years straight of gaming is slightly overkill. But we must consider some things only require a total GLOBAL hours like distinguished service and all so be wary of that.

Heh, just got my Gold Knive Badge yeltongue.gif You think 7 per round is though, try 18 per round coolx.gif Tactic? No tactic really, just determination... and be prepared to die lots  First time i got my Bronze Knive Badge, i was playing with a friend (i helped him get his, he helped me get mine). What we did is we stuck together as two medics, with the med packs always out, then we would find a target (we hunted snipers on Sohua Stalemate, but engaged any target). One would charge forward with a knive, while the other would run behind him, trying to heal him as long as possible. If the one with the knive died, then the second would finish off the target, then revive the fallen friend, and continue. Damn.... that seemed tough, as we barelly managed to get 7 kills per round till the time run out. However, i got my Silver and Gold pretty much alone. For the Silver, i was playing Kharkand, and just happened to knive 2 snipers on the roof. Then i thought "hey, i got enough for the Silver Badge" and started hunting for more. Hunted down snipers laying on all the roofs, but got a couple of assaults too. The Gold was toughest though, needed 18 instead of 7. Started same way: got 2 guys at once, and then thought this was a good start. Then i just ran around kniving people.... Damn, this was a race against time (look at the tickets left on the screenshot.... i was damn close to not getting it in time) Only tips i can give you are: be medic (prolongs your life a bit), and try to hunt in the areas with UAV, so you can see your targets on the map. Also helps to know the spawn-locations :naughty:. Other then that, just be set to do it from the beginning of the map (don't play on 64 player server, as there are more people shooting at you there, and tickets go down faster  ), and forget about your KDR or getting kills any other way, just charge with a knive (20% of people will switch to the knive and duel you) attachment.php?attachmentid=37156&stc=1
