Hey guys, I just got BF2 and it looks like im going to have to upgrade to get the beautiful graphics im looking for. I have a Albatron FX5700 right now and i can barely run BF2 on low settings, not to mention the abundance of noise the card makes with 3 fans on the side. I'm curious what you guys think would be a better card between these two: I noticed 1 had the 128-bit but 256mb and the other vice versa? Whats Better? Geforce 6800 128MB 256-bit DDR AGP 4X/8X Video http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814150068 Geforce 6600 256MB 128-bit DDR AGP 4X/8X Video http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814150086 Any help would be great! Thanks!!

ensert13 - tweaktown has some good reviews of the different Nvidia cards... personally, I have the top one and am quite pleased with it. I would guess at the end of the day those two cards are pretty comparable to one another with the 6600 making up the lost ground with the more RAM... others who know more may disagree :)

What is your budget? I'd go for the 6600GT for a low end budget. You have SLI MB?

├čeefYou have SLI MB?

Obviously not, since he is looking at AGP cards ... This review compared how the 6800 works with BF2: http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/2005/06/22/geforce_7800gtx/3.html Have a read there. The 6800 card is defiantelly better. But if you would have had an SLI board, you could buy two 6600 cards and run them in SLI better then 1 6800 card, and for cheaper too

Hey guys I have a Shuttle SN45G right now, I think it only takes AGP 4x/8x so thats why i keep looking at thoose 2 cards and not PCI Express stuff. My budget is about $200, mainly i just want to be able to run BF2 better. What do u think?
