Ok I admit it, i don't own BF2 yet. Ok now before you kill me I must ask about the seeming lack of vehicles compared to 1942. If my memory serves me righ tI rememebr various vehicle types from jeeps to MBT's and then artillery. Where has that gone now? From what I have seen there are only a small selection of vehicles, despite new expansions. i plan on buying the game soon but can someone abate my fears and tell me im wrong about the blandness of vehicles

There's less variety in the vehicles as there was in BF1942 and Vietnam, plus IMO they're too balanced (nades taking out an Abrams? Never!). It's more oriented towards infantry fighting than vehicle combat.

If it's more infantry oriented, then howcome a tank/apc can rip me to shreds in 1sec. Also howcome all but the Great Wall map of the Euro Forces booster are strictly vehicle maps (ie. tough luck trying to do anything without a tank). Personally I think that the vehicle variations are REALLY REALLY low, but overall, there are too many vehicles in most of the maps, in comparison to the amount of bots. In 1942, there were more vehicles per map but you could also have up to 64 bots. Unfortunately with the bot mods, if you have more then the default, it takes a toll on your fps :(

yeah why not, after all I do have a 56k modem, and it will never ever lag, not to mention it will get rid of all the tking, vehicle campers, spawn camping, and 60 year old geezers who r pretty good, and 12 year old little kids that kick my ass every time I play!

there are fewer veichles on BF2, but theres plenty to make a map actionpacked. Jeeps, armored cars, Tanks, Jets, Helicopters, Anti Tank posts, AA posts, Buggies. so there is enought to make it a fun game. Dw

There still is lots of variation of vehicles, throughout the bf2 series(including expansions and booster packs)There's 8 different helos, 4 different types of tanks, 10 types of jets, 5 types of jeeps/buggies, boats and jet skis, 3 types of APC and of mobile AA and you got the ground stinger, IGLAs so as you can see there's still plenty of choice but who needs loads of vehicles, i mean if there were 20 per team you could have the whole team in a vechile and that would just be boring, i mean having max 14 vehicles per map means most people will go on foot because they don't want to sit in a APC or a buggy.
